Yeah, I got DA and TA, and it seemed like my race in my first TA game was about a billion times more efficient than my one in DL, not sure why, able to keep taxes at about 35% spending at 100% and 99% approval with a large income on top of that. I'll keep sandboxing to get a feel of the game, thanks for the advice.
So I just bought this game and got the bugs taken care of, a couple quick questions Is there any reason not to buy the two expansions? I heard some people saying they still play the older games even with the xpacs, so just wondering... and Am I doing something wrong, or is the early game supposed to be incredibly slow?.. other than the most basic researches it's usually 10-30 turns per research, about 45 turns for a colony ship on any planet other than my capital, 20 there.
Alright, I just purchased and installed GalCiv2 and I've been getting two odd crashing bugs. If I set "AI can use CPU strenous algorithms" the game crashes either at the start of the match or when I select a race for myself. Or when I start a match in a Huge map, the game crashes at one of the same two spots. I have the newest video drivers, 3GB ram and 2GB virtual memory, running an FX-57 2.8...
