Sorry Bebi - your reply didn't show until I posted again, for some reason! Yes, I did select that systemwide option (although I can't double double check as it's my home computer with WB and I'm at work) and then select the font from that list. I was sort of suprised that it hadn't changed it! I'm still worried about this referral thing, though. I hope I haven't upset anyone or done anything wrong and if I have I'm truly sorry - just very inexperienced at this whole thing!

Is anyone able to suggest anything. I notice that that my post has a 'referral'. Is that bad? What did I do wrong?
Well - now that I have had a day to play with the wonder that is WindowBlinds, I've come up with another question! I found a font that I liked and thought it looked 'dragony' and might therefore go nicely with the dragon theme that I was using, so I went into WB and clicked on 'fonts' and then clicked 'use Speedball No1' and applied changes. The font changed on title bars etc, but nowhere else (I've tried uploading a screenshot but I put the image URL from photobucket in and click OK an
HURRAH!!! You've fixed it! It was set to 120dpi and I changed it to 96dpi and - ta-da!!! - it's all perfect!! Have uploaded a screenshot to prove it! I never could work out why everything on the screen on my laptop looked huge when it was set to the same resolution as my computer at work. . . Big huge thanks for all your help! It's so pretty! [img]http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm225/Moon
Ah well. I did the whole uninstall, cleanup, download SDC and reinstalled WB using it but it's still doing the same thing (bar along top not there, too big for screen). I guess it doesn't like my system somehow. At least it works, it's just irritating not being able to see the whole screen. Nevermind! Thank you very much to Bichur and Philly and everyone who offered advice, much appreciated xx
Thanks, this is the info: WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 6.1 (build 55 x86) WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC Your machine supports per pixel borders on WindowBlinds skins. I really am an imbecile at all this lark. Following Philly0381's advice, I have tried to go back to the default windows style so that I can follow Bichur's advice and uninstall/reinstall etc. BUT - I can't go back to the windows default!!! I went to the control panel/appearance&themes/display/themes and selected 'windows xp' from the dropdown, clicked 'apply' and 'ok' but the display is still in WindowBlinds (I'm using dragon). I'm sorry if I'm driving you all nuts, b
Thanks for that in depth response! Great help - will go off and do those things shortly.
A higher resolution makes things smaller: example a picture 1024 pixels wide will fit across your screen at 1024x768 a picture 1024 pixels wide will go beyond your screen at 800x600 since 1024 won't fit in 800 the picture will seem smaller at resolutions above 1024
Sorry - I had my terminology backwards! I was trying to increase the resolution, but rath
Oh I am such a technical idiot! I have some more questions (and one answer) before I can go any further! Sorry to be so thick! My resolution is 1024 x 768. It feels uncomfortably large to me but I've tried reducing the resolution and it just makes things fall off the edges of the screen rather than making the resolution smaller! Don't know what I'm doing wrong there. I don't know how I downloaded it - I just clicked on the link and ran the setup wizard thing. What
I did reboot but I didn't uninstall the free version first. How do I do that? Or is it too late now? The free version was too big for my screen as well but the frame thing worked! Thanks for help so far
Sorry - should have said! Am on XP
Hi all - I downloaded the free version of WindowBlinds a couple of days ago and decided that it was fab so I purchased and registered it. Thing is, it's not working properly now? When I open the programme itself it's too big for my screen, so I have to drag the window around to see different parts of it. Also, the purchased version doesn't look right? I've tried to attach a screenprint so you can see what I mean but I can't figure out how to do it, but what has h
That's really helpful - thanks!
I am very new to all this and have discovered this site (which is fab!) but I'm not that great with computers and I'm having some trouble! I have managed to download and install WindowBlinds and then I just clicked 'download' on the dragon theme and it installed and it's great. However, have discovered that this is seriously addictive and have tried to download another couple - not sure exactly what I should do? I just did download and ok'd everything (which seemed
Wow! That was quick, thanks very much :D
Hi all, am new to all this and also not hugely technically minded so bear with me... I have just installed WindowBlinds and downloaded an utterly gorgeous theme called Dragon. Thing is, on the site there was a really nice wallpaper with it - can anyone tell me where it came from, please? Would love it to complete the whole thing!
