where a bear and a giant iguanna were fighting. Ah so! Watching the late night re-runs of the original Godzilla again?????????? [Message Edited]
Phil Read .... the original 'hard man' but a damn good racer. He had some very nice things to say about Bazza. "Phil Read:Prince of Speed" is interesting ... his feud with Bill Ivy makes good reading. And unlike today, 125cc ... 250cc ..... 500cc .... all in a day's racing for men like these. Shame his Honda let him down in 1978 when he and 'Mike the Bike' lined up for the IOM Senior. I never realised (until I read his Bio) that Read started racing a 350 Goldie in 1956 and on
Jafo, trawling for some information last night and ended up reading (or re-reading!) some reports from the first arrival of the Japanese teams at the IOM. The Honda 250 'Six' (17,000 RPM in 1966!) is the one we all think of but how about the Honda 125 'Five' (20,000 RPM in 1967) or even their 50cc aircooled twin (winding out to 20,000 RPM in 1965) .... Himmel!! The one bike I would really like to see and hear in action is the 500cc Gilera V8 of 1957 .... <img src="http://images.stardock
It's not just the flaws present in Microsoft products that turns me against Microsoft, it's Microsoft's evil ways of doing business. Yes indeed .... the expect you to pay for an OS! > <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 class="mb-Body
One of the last of the IOM TT 'Greats'. Bugger!! And don't forget Joey Dunlop Hippy ..... "Yer Mun". BTW, Bazza would be enjoying the MotoGP rounds this season. Almost all the four strokes are running with straight-out pipes .... take your ear plugs Jafo. I noticed all the grid-grommets were using them last weekend.
This should be a sticky thread! "Puddles the cat" If 'Puddles the Cat' lives up to his/her/it's name it will be sticky for sure!
One reason I do not use TIVO or Replay TV is that they report what you watch. If you watch Will and Grace just one time, your TIVO will think you are gay. It's nice that TIVO runs on Linux, but the spyware is a big minus Rampant Paranoia???? Himmel! Tim
No free love? I think someone woke up on the wrong side of the outback. I thought you guys were supposed to be whimsical and sing songs like tie me kangaroo down sport, what a grouch. OK .... and we all wear slouch hats, have Kangaroos hopping down the main streets of our cities, can ride stock horses and drink gallons of Fosters! <img src="http:
The "Master of the One Liner" .... and a Gentleman as well.
No .. my family are descended from Nothern Europe, not the Mediterranean area ..
I have finished millions of dollars worth of 'basements'...just not my own.....much to my wife's chagrin...it's the old story of the plumber's house has the leaky taps.... We really don't have 'basements' but every Aussie Boy needs a 'Shed'! [Message Edi
Shouldn't it be smarter to make it 100-150 Megs for people who don't contribute and 200 megs for people who do make skins and contribute? Styl, define 'contribute'. Your proposition would be a bit rough on untalented members such as this particular Marsupial who have been around from the early days but lack the skills to 'contribute' other t
These days I take passing interest in noting an apparent revision of his stance, suggesting his superiors have requested he refrain from editorialising and slandering various entities. Ditto! The problem is that about 5% of the userbase uses about 25% of the bandwidth. Be worth checking the ratio of skins v walls, and to be fair, 3Mb to 4Mb Icon packages are a bit over the top IMHO. [Message Edited]
From what I understand there are tons of so called "Adventure Capitalists" (i.e. insane rich guys) that throw around millions on the most insane studies and experiments you could even imagine… you need to get a hold of one of these wackos as an investor…then there can just be free love. Crispy Dove, not a great idea, people who know zip about this typ
Like I've said before, nobody's perfect, but this site strives for values and qualities that represent an ideal. While trawling through several magazines recently I came across a couple of pieces by one "Andy Hutchinson" on desktops and customising. quote.."Without a doubt, the best place to get funky wallpapers is DeviantArt(www.deviantart.c
Look out John Howard and Simon Crean!
This site exists largely due to his generosity towards the skinning community, Jafo .... It is also a 'commercial' enterprise in that Stardock proggies are the core of site ... and I mean that in the sense of 'good business sense'... not as a putdown
eg, the eye cannot distinguish 16.7 million colour variations, nor can your brain/perception benefit from their use..... To complicate matters further, anyone over 35 will have trouble with 'correct' colour perception as the retina of the human eye begins to degrade and tends to give a 'yellow' cast to one's colour vision. <img src="http://image
All my Office 2002 (XP Pro) apps work fine with WB4, but I suggest you set them up under WB Configuration with straight-forward skins. Brim.Net by Greg Holt, XP Golden by digitalFX, or Skink (my personal fave!) by essorant all do the biz without any conflicts. Last resort, exclude Excel under the apps configuration tab.
hey saddam ... YOUR NEXT!!! If Saddam and Osama are still alive, I hope we capture them or kill them. If they are dead, then I hope we can find out for sure once and for all. <TABLE cellpadding=
Only native born Americans are allowed to run for US president. And I can't recall any "Native American" presidents at all!
"Dragon Rider series" Is this is the Katherine Kerr 'Deverry' series? If so, yes indeed, addictive with great writing and attention to detail. The 'Sharpe' series by Bernard Cornwell is enjoyable, Wombat. </TR
