I just wanted to add that my friends and I played friday night and 1v1 was ok, but when 4 of us were playing we had a ton of lag as well over a wireless router. half of us were directly plugged into the router and we were all getting lag.

i ended up just copying the demigod folder to the other computers for most it worked alright two computers (same sort of make) popped up with a debugger upon opening one said it was missing the file d3dx9_35.dll so i searched my computer for the file and copied that to my friends comp as well, and it worked. however, upon playing we ended up with a TON of lag. it was very unfortunate (not to mention unplayable) we ended up doing 2 1v1s instead of 2v2s (we had p

I know there was another post that explained exactly how to copy demigod onto another computer. I'm planning on having a lan with some friends on friday. Can anyone link me to the other post so I can set it up before then? Or if you just happen to know how it's done, you could just put it here. And I'm guessing I could just log into impulse and DL it again on each computer, but I was pretty sure there was a way to do it via removable hard drive. thanks in advance!

no chance of getting some official date or length of time or at least tell us that there will or wont be updates before beta 2? puh-leese? pwetty puh-leese? i'll give you lots of cherries! I'm excited for the Generals, and the updated torch bearer also. and innociv's item upgrade concept :-P

i like the idea of item recipes don't get me wrong, i don't think they should be used. They create a learning curve where suddenly you have to know tons of combinations in order to build the right thing. i can't count the number of times i purchased the wrong item because i was thinking of a similar but different recipe. Now that I've played Dota at least 50 or so times, I know a good deal of them. but definitely NOT all of them. With this upgrade syste

dang, i only was JUST asked to take the survey. I was kinda bummed about that. Also, the email I got for the charge wes odd: SubTotal: $49.95 Shipping: $0.00 Tax: $0.00 Grand Total: $59.95 I assumed that meant shipping was $10 and they messed up. Last time my account hadn't been charged yet, so I was going to wait to ask them about it. now that i think about it, it might be better to let them know BEFORE they charge me... heh...</pr

@ MetDragon I think the OP was trying to say we shouldn't change demigod to be MORE like DotA. There are a lot of posts out right now that want things from DotA to be implemented in Demigod simply because Demigod is similar to DotA. I think its obvious that some DotA features will be in Demigod no matter what. It's the nature of games of the same genre. Standards are created when a popular/good game is created. I don't remember when hotkeying armies with ctrl+# came around but I can't

I say amen to the OP. Demigod definitely is not DotA. It's the same genre, certainly, but does that mean all First person shooters should all have the same guns or similar maps? Should every racing game copy Need for Speed and be just street racing and use the same cars? should every puzzle game be like tetris? I think you guys get my point. Something different is nice. Then you've got two DIFFERENT games to play!
I think it should be an option...it does help to visually notify you of global occurences (flags captured, friendlies, etc). It must be removable.
I agree, it is useful, but I also like being able to see the entire screen. I think It should be an option. One idea i read elsewhere mentioned making the map like Diablo II style, so you can dim it and see through it. That could be really neat. Anothe
