what about #30 where are the item recipes?
I agree that was a weak anology, but the point I was trying to make was that Demigod isn't supposed to be a DotA clone. It has some similarities, but it's meant to have differences. Just because some idea or concept is in DotA, doesn't mean that it is right for Demigod.
I think it's a great idea. the only thing I might change is the number of people who have to agree to surrender. I kind of think everyone should have to, but there are drawbacks to that. Either way, it would be an improvement though.

lol, soccer
Being able to teleport using the minimap would be cool, but the thing is, what if you were trying to teleport to the ground that your minimap is covering? I think its pretty easy to just scroll wheel out and suddenly the whole arena is your minimap. as for things that you miss from DotA... this isn't DotA. When talking about starcraft, I could say the thing I miss from Empire Earth is being able to advance my civlization. No one would ever expect that in Starcraft 2 you'd be able to a
haha, i feel the same way. I bought it so long ago it feels like im getting it for free now that it's coming out!
The beta was closed a few weeks ago. You are going to have to wait for release. Sorry!
well I think it will be easy to get a few of the favor items early on, but i think it will take a while to get all of them, because while you can get some of the easier achievements quickly, it will take a while before you can complete some of the harder ones. as for maps, i would guess we'll probably get some more of those, maybe even when they give us the new demigods. I'm sure they will add or adjust items here and there, but mostly for balance. As for skills, I'm sure ther
I live right by the city, but guess what... I'm on vacation in Europe right now. Damn.
demo comes out after. The point of a demo is so people can try the game before buying it. You don't have to buy it the day it comes out, therefore the demo doesn't need to be any earlier then the release day. That way the demo can be a demo of the final product, rather then a demo that might be buggier, unbalanced or plain incomplete compared to the final product.
I agree with WoW and most MMOs because WoW has been around a heck of a long time now and it really just does it right. As for dota/demigod, i disagree. I've played DotA for a long time, and personally I enjoy Demigod more. There's more to it then just needing experience to be really good at it, or even to have fun, which is the one thing I really don't enjoy about DotA.
I just want to say I really am for gaining idols as you level up rather then having to buy them. can't stress enough how much I like that idea.

At which date did you pre-order? i bought it march 20th 2009 ... also will my pre-order be
I do see your point innociv. I just disagree. We can agree to disagree, right? And I was thinking they'd still get a little bonus automatically when they level, but maybe just not as much. Or, since right now different demigods gain stats differently, make them all gain a slight amount in all areas, and you just select which stats you would like to give a greater bonus to. and having to spend more later on to really increase the stat sounds really good to me.
SIGHHHHHHHHH And what's to stop me as a General from JUST buying items with my extra money?! Not like I buy citadel upgrades either, except to get catapultasaurs and giants. I hope GPG knows not to listen to stuffl iek "I think that generals should get 150% more gold than assassins".
they could JUST buy items, but because generals AREN'T assassins, those items won't help them out as
i think giving generals extra money, or making things cheaper for generals is a great idea. Minions cost a lot, and its one more thing that they need to purchase that assassins don't Assassins: items, citadel upgrades Generals: items, citadel upgrades, minions I think that generals should either get 150% more gold than assassins or have things be 2/3 of the price since they have 150% more (3:2) areas to spend their money.
But.. do we have a lack of choice now? If we do, it's the fault of items and skills, not lack of stats. :/
I think we have a lack of choice because of how much money we have to pour into the citadel and, for generals, buying minions. This way you can customize your characters stats without having to buy items. I often find myself pouring all my money into the citadel and not buying any items until very late game, if at all.</p
are micro expansions a sign that sins didn't do ok, cuz I heard otherwise...
The Pre-Order page has the price change, but the home page does not. might want to change the home page as well
they aren't charging for the first 2 new demigods, i don't know about later though And I feel like it was mentioned that they were going to eventually release micro expansions, or some kind of expansions later on and I agree with innociv. There is a momentum to the game, and being able to rebuild will only slow the game down. The game is supposed to be quick.
random_guy, that's exactly the kind of thing I had in mind. Thanks for a great post.
one idea for the stun thing, and maybe this should be its own post, but maybe after someone has been stunned, for the next 10/15/? seconds the demigod has a 10%/20%/50%/?% chance to resist another stun?
