Oh my friends those of you who have doubts is because you havent seen stardock in action, you can expect plenty of updates. although i consider it normal that people thinks like that when they come from other companies like ....... better not to mention names, but trust me Stardock Rocks.

Ok call me stupid but theres something i have never seem to understand. Regarding dual core procesors, in my country normally we call them by each procesors power, what i mean is that we say a 1.80ghz procesors because its duo it has a total of 3.6ghz, but i've seen people calling it by its total power, so my question will be, when you say 2.4 low and 3.0 recomended are you saying total or each. well to make it easir here is my specs: Operating System: Windows Vista&tr

ive been watching this game since stardock anounced it in the galciv2 page, sadly i waited to long to pre-order and couldnt get in the beta (i dont know why, stardock always make top quality games). well anyways i've been watching gameplay videos, reading strategies and getting everything i can on how to play so you can imagine how much i intend to play. Also consider i got my vacations from college right now, so i got 3 weeks with nothing better to do.

As with Galactic Civilizations (Stardock), Sins of a Solar Empire (Iron Clad & Stardock) and Supreme Commander (GPG) they will must likely give all critical updates until the next expancion and some luxury and non critical updates, paying. I hope they give must of the updates for free.

Its just i was planning on making my low PQ world into economic ones, but that wont be possible with those caps, i chek them myself, and i dont know if they are right number by number but there is ca that prohibites your worlds from growing over a certain point even if you got the normal enough food to sustain them, so im going to make those worlds reaserch.

[quote who="Mumblefratz" reply="1" id="1901902"]A couple of things may be in play here. You mention both low quality planets and low pop planets which are different things. Low quality planets have a lower population limit but the growth rate is the same as a high quality planet as long as approval and any other factors that affect growth rate are the same. The population growth rate is dependent on many things; race, planetary approval, techs, etc. but is also limi

Thanks for any help you can give me.

In my last game i noticed what you said Carl Aylward, but that makes it even better, that means we can know put a large ship with big HP and defences as the highest prority target on a fleet, this means we now have the options of changing our frigates or fighters from a Atacc/Defence balance to mostly atack. [quote who="Newbyl" reply="8" id="1900380"]I'm amazed that some of you have so much choice... generally i find I'm building as many of the best ships I can at any given time.. wea

Just a Couple of minor thougts: 21-Beeing able to upgrade your ships from a list (any of the ship list we have), or create a new list of ships wich allow use to upgrade, but also gives us important information on the ship that we need to know to upgrade the best ships first like, Lv, Cost, Atack, Defence, Hp, if its currently under a lease or something like that. 22-Computer needs to be a little more organized when it comes to invasions, actually i dont see it as a

I would like to know how you guys make yur fleets, of course is very simple in the early game when you just have to put the must guns on the biggest hull and fleet them up, but im talking abuot mid/late game when you have the fleet modules, hulls so big that you cant mass produce them and so on. Ive been thinking a little about it and i came up with a good ship composition, first i went to the galciv wiki and found tat the priority enemies use to atack your ships is Atack/(Defence + H

[quote quoting="post"] 1. I have been playing a game against 'simple' computer and I have dominated the the 'colonization' race and have a big lead on planets. I have found the most difficult part to follow is the technologies, specifically relating to ships. I had 12 planets to 3 and the race comes at me with huge vessels. I had a huge technology advantage Lasers III, miniballs IV, all these advancements, but the best ship I had (As Terrans) was a Star Fury with

I decided that my usual tactic of creating semi especialized worlds isnt working anymore., so i read a couple of posts on the forums and a couple of guys where sayig that the best players, the ones that play at maso and suiside use fully especialize worlds. Now i was trying this tecniques and i have a couple of questions: 1-What class of planet do you use for each type of world? 2-Do you especialize your homeworld too? 3-What Buildings do you use for eah type of world?

Yeah well what i mean is the for example the yor not being able to get, economic and morale structures, or the iconians the farm structures. Its not only the fact that you cannot trade race especif techs to others but also that civs like the thorians who are not supposed to have the standard reaserch techs dont get them.

Im sure that game as the thalans must have been very fun. You know thats the type of game that i lke, one where you dont get a big surplus so easly and you have to really plan ahead to get some advantages although i must confess that without war profiteering the draths would be the weakest race of them all.
