Ah Dev, you are too right both about the cycle and about victimhood. Some people think there is great power in being a victim (both in life and on the 'net). But that power can only be derived when the supposed 'oppressor' actually gives a hoot about the victim. It often doesn't happen that way, and cries of victimization rarely receive the "I'm so sorry, I'll be more thoughtful next time" response the victim is looking for.

I hear you Mason. Depression, no matter what the cause, is one of those insidious things that can cause you to do things you really shouldn't do. And those things can seem so logical and necessary at the time. There are supposed to be things you can do to combat this, like special light-bulbs that mimic the sunlight. Here are the first pictures of my new niece. Here's an odd thing: I was talking to our PR guy in Canada via IM yesterday. I mentioned that my sister had a baby that morning and could we send out a press release (haha). He said, "Really? My sister had a baby too". Well, she still has to register as a sex offender, has 3 years house arrest, etc., so they aren't totally letting it slide. However...she's too pretty to serve jail time??? I've never heard this used as an excuse before. And why should it be an excuse? I agree with you, if jail time is the norm then she should be in jail! We should not treat women differently from men. The points system was recently changed so you only get one point for replying to your own article, so you need not concern yourself with 'points whoring'. This information was double checked with T-man, but I have not tried it myself to find out. However, I'm all for replying in whatever way you want.
