Can i suggest a far simpler solution? Format HDD and reinstall XP. You said it went bonkers...the install? Or a PC running XP? Can the Win98 machine handle XP or perhaps XP lite?
Good morning. Will what went bonkers with the XP is that will I was playing DL it turned off and then restarted and kept doing it when I turned it on even when I did not play DL. And as I said my Win98 is using only what came with it in the box, so
check this out: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Force_powers I bet master cheif cant do any of those.
Yes, but than there were not that many Force users except the Emperor, Vader and the Emperors Hands during the Empire's rule. I agree that the Master Chief would have a near impossible time taking out any of them alone without a vehicle or somthing else with a lot of firepower. Now till me what you think o
Will I downloaded Impulse but it said that I need at least XP for it to work. Will thank you for the help so far Phaedyme and Hack78.
Are you sure it works on Win98 - I have a feeling it is not supported
Yes. This is the minimum Requirements: Windows 98/ME/2000/XP/Vista. Thanks Phaedyme, I'll go to Impulse and give that a try.
I just got Dread Lords a few months ago before my XP went a bit bonkers. I have tried to get to work on my old Windows 98, but when I put the disk in it just makes some clicking sounds; and when I go to run in the Start menu it says: Cannot find the 'M:/Setup.exe'( or one of its components) Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available. And I have made no upgra
Quoting Overseer, reply 8Halo would win. (My icon is the bungie superintendent, so i may be a bit bias) Even if you could argue they could beat the covenant. They cant beat the forerunner or the flood. "I have destroyed fleets of thousands"-- Gravemind (and those were forerunner ships no less) Yeah, but the forerunner are long gone. And who knows what the superlaser on the Death Star or the Eclipse would do to a Forer
I was just looking through the Fall of Reach. Edit. Quote." Contact! Contact!" Lieutenant Domininque shouted." Enemy plasma torpedos away, sir!" Scarlet lighting erupted from the alien frigates-twin bolts of fire streaked through the darkness. They looked as if they could burn space itself. The torpedoes were on a direct course for the Iroquois." Course correction, sir?" Lieutenant Jaggers' voice broke wit
Thank you DarthCaedusMorgan, I only have the New Essential Guide to Vehicles & Vessels. I must say that the only way the Scarab would probably win would to overwhelm it with numbers or just drop from orbit on top of it. Just another good reason to have a post Yavin data of only a few months. This has been a UNSC transmission.
Now lets look at the ship vs ship again. Now we know that with the upgrades Cortana made Covenant plasma has become far more dangerous then it had been before. If a Reverence can fire three of the overpowered plasma torpedos and shall charge it's Silpspace generator than we can safely assume full or nearly full power to sub-light engines. So lets do a battle between two dozen ISDs and two dozen Reverence Cruisers. Starting at 10000 kilometers from each other. The ISDs and Reverences f
The thing most people seem to forget about the AT-AT is that it is a troup transport that doubles as a terror weapon. Yes, it may be powerful but it wasn't really designed to fill the role of a tank. For a real tank you would need to jump forward to just after Thrawn's post-Yavin return and look at the Arakyd XR-85 Tank Droid. It is around double the size of an AT-AT walker and can travel up to 70km/hour while being capable of going through water up to 15 meters deep. It mounts two tur
Good morning. Yes, I know they have a 120 weapons. But we have only ever seen the tip of the iceberg with the Covenant ships and ground forces. As I said before the Covenant were only slightly fazed by the lost of nearly 500 ships and a command station. Go to Halopedia and read over the entire Scarab section, such as being dropped from medium orbit, is there anything that says that an AT-AT can do that? And then we do not know how many Scarabs there are, but you could say th
Since the Flood is a wildcard and the forrunners may as well be, lets give Star Wars one: the little-known Yhuuzhan Vong, who gave both the Empire and Rebels a run for their money. All organic ships, and for shields they use quantum singularities (mini balck holes). Plasma is a popular weapon amongst them too, so there goes any covenant advantage. UNSC would simply lose a numbers war. Forrunner, unknown. Vong have excellent disguise methods for infiltration, and would try "jump to the
um some one should get the halo mod and the star wars mod 4 sins and fuse them to see who is victor
Will it's been some time since I looked at either of those, and the Halo one was not complete then, and I never found the SW mod. It would be fun, that's for sure. This has been a UNSC transmission,
And lets go with the H2 Scarab to go with the time line here. Just post Yavin and start of H2. This just seems to me to be the best time line to use, it just helps balance things between the Empire and Covenant.
Just a thought: Who would win in a fight? Boba Fett or Master Chief?
Yeah, that would be interesting. Fett's advantages would be his jet pack and the weapons system built into his armor, such as the flame thrower and the large missile on his jet pa
Sorry, I'v had other stuff to do. Thank you for correting my mistake. I meant to put 100000 kilometers instead of miles, thank you, I just hate putting up info thats incorret up. I should have double checked it at Halopedia, I just did it from memory. Thanks, I just hate putting up incorret info. Ten light minutes for the Ventor, that would pose a threat if the Covenant ships didn't move. But this would be really only good against large stations like High Char
Now that I look at it more the Return of the Jedi was not the best to use for that, A New Hope would have been used better for it.
And I disagree about their tech being vastly supperior to the Empires.
I did not say they are vastly superior with their tech, I was just saying that they had many advantages such as guiding their plasma torpedos at a distance after it being fired, their pulse lasers, which are really lasers because they move at the speed
I was looking around for more Covenant ship data when I came across a bit of info from First Strike I forgot about. And you sure don't see this sort of security for the Emperor. Quote. They gathered data and emerged into the cold vacuum, where they were recovered by the hundreds of supercarriers and cruisers in station-keeping positions around the massive, bulbous planetoid that dominated the heavens . Not a single rock larger than a centimeter could enter
I'v looked over the Victory I-class Star Destroyer, it is a very good ship, but one major weakness that could help the Covenant when in combat with it: underpowered engines; it could not keep up with modern SW ships. And then the bulk of it's weapons are missiles, which the Covenant point defense would take out just as easily as with the UNSC ones. But I could use some help finding out how fast the Victorys and Covenant ships are since I did not find anything about ma
Its the TIE Fighter video game.
Sorry again. I'm just reading one of Larry Nivens Ringworld books right now, and I haven't looked at my SW book list for some time. Sorry. And I have to say that even the Covenant point defense systems would be easily overwhelm by the Missile Boats; I thought the Tie Defender was the best made by the Empire until now. It would take a large plasma or pulse laser attack to counter the missile swarms. If they are used
[ quote]I think the Empire has a bunch of Victory class Star Destroyers it can spare at this point as the new Imperial Star Destroyers have replaced them on the frontline(they sold around 250 to the Corporate Sector Authority my guide says). As they can operate inside a planetary atmoshpere they will be a decieding factor in gorund battles.
Yes, they would have a ton of Victory class SD's at that time, t
Sorry again, I should have been more clear with the post Yavin data. I was thinking about right after the rebels break through the Empire's fleet that was in orbit of Yavin after they took out the DS 1. Thrawn returns about 10 ABY in the books. But if a was sent for him he could be on the frontline. But he would need to get his hands on Covenant art to learn all he needs, if he can't get his hands on some art a few battles would be all he needs. But even he wo
quantum-crystalline armor makes it 'impervious to turbolaser blasts'. imagine every sw ship made out of that, halo ships will have some problems there.
Sorry, forgot to reply to this before. I agree that it would pose a major problem for Halo, but it must not be easy to produce it since as far as I know only ship to have it is the Sun Crusher. This has been a UNSC transmission.
Yes. I agree that it would be easy for the Eclipse to take out the Unyielding Hierophant, but just how long would it last when over 500 Covenant ships jump through Slipspace and begin attacking with Energy Projectors, plasma torpedos and plasma turrets? The Eclipse is a big target that would be easy to hit. And the Super Laser and other weapons would not be able to take out all of them before the Covenant fleet blasts away it's shields and fire on the Super Laser and command center. And
Center Point is what I think would have been used by a long gone race from Bungies Marathon games in the mid-90s, but I have not played the games my self. This has been a UNSC transmission.
I think the EU novels have some pretty good range for Star Wars. I think it depends on how good their targeting data is as I recall that in the New Jedi Order series a ship fired from the edge of the system to hit a ship in orbit around Coruscant. Not an Empire ship, but it should does demonstrate Star Wars weapons can have very long ranges.
I have most of the SW books, but I have not heard of this weapon. If you could give me more info about is that would hel
