I think to be a fair fight we should compare forerunners to Star Wars races. That way we have comparable ship size and technological capabilities. The Forerunners could cause stars to collapse and it became a standard protocol for flood containment. They became world builders able to construct things on a massive scale such as the shield worlds and the ark. Their understanding of Genetics has no mach. They also had armor that ranked in at class 18 maybe higher ( Master Chief's armor is

quote]The Empire would not know about the Array until it is to late and the Halo pulse leaves their ships open to use by the Covenant and UNSC. But why would they activate them? The Covenant and UNSC would all die, as well. And the Covenant can't actually activate the Ark, anyway. Only humans can.
I got the errors that were going on gone alot sooner than I thought I would. Now, the humans and the Covenant would both be on the Ark, and the Ark is far beyond
Star Wars Hyper Drive, allows the ship to enter hyper space, the empire has ways of countering it, so it would likely work on the halo tech. Now i'm goinga hold any more comment untill i talk with my friend who is a halo nut, and a sw nut. But over all i think SW has a scale advantage. -Gabe
The Empire could stop UNSC ships if they are in real space; but Slipspace is completely separated from real space were SW ships can not
The Ark was placed outside of the galaxy and thus outside of the blast radius of the Halo Array. This would make some sense because someone had to repopulate the galaxy after it was wiped clean(or it was done by AI; it really wasn't specified). I may be wrong. I'm a little rusty on my Halo trivia today True, but they why would the Empire attack it?
The Empire would not know about the Array until it is to late and the Halo pu

I will answer other post and then get back to the list of Covenant ships.
Halo Array: Seven giant rings scattered through out the galaxy, a weapon of last-resort against the Flood parasite. They are 10000 kilometers in diameter. Main Weapon is a radiation pulse of unknown type with a range of 25000 light-years that kills all life large enough to support the Flood parasite along with all Flood forms above Infection Form. Status: Standby Mode after Delta Halo firing was aborted.<

Oh yes, the infamous Sun Crusher. You now, data from the Ark mentions the Forerunner fleets could cause premature stellar collapse to. Now to the Covenant capital ships. The Covenant Frigate is one of the most common ships in their fleet, it's shields can with stand one UNSC Shiva-class nuclear warhead or one Energy Projector shot. It is the size of the PoA at 1000 meters long. It's hull can withstand either one Mac round or 225 Archer missiles or one plasma torpedo or one plasma turr

One of those error was forgeting the UNSC part at the end, will since we are talking about Onyx a bit here is a joke. This is the prototype Nova bomb, nine fusion warheads encased in lithium triteride armor. When detonated it compresses the thremonuclear yield a hundredfold. I am Vice Admiral Danforth Whitcomb, temporarily in command of the UNSC military base Reach. To any Imperial uglies including your butt-ugly emperor that might be listening, you have a few seconds to try and k
Actually the world in Halo Wars was also a shield world, though it is now destroyed.
Sorry, my 360 died months ago, curse that MS making the first Xbox ran eight years but the 360 die after two years. Thanks for the info.

Sorry, I keep having errors. Now for the Halo side: Super Weapons/Megastructures. Halo Array: Seven giant rings scattered through out the galaxy, a weapon of last-resort against the Flood parasite. Main Weapon is a radiation pulse of unknown type with a range of 25000 light-years that kills all life large enough to support the Flood parasite along with all Flood forms above Infection Form. The Covenant do know they can jump into and out of gravity wells, but this was only after a Covenant AI leaked Cortana's jump in Thershold's atmosphere. Also we have Regrets in atmosphere jump over New Mombasa in H2. And how are the Covenant using them least precisely than they could? They have been know to jump into battle in formation no more than a kilometer from each other, it says in one of the books they can make jumps with an error no greater than an atoms diameter; but they

Stop calling me weird! In what way do I type weird? Enlighten me, please. And then stop taking up space, this is not helping attacking me. Now back on topic. I have seen people say the Covenant would not be able to glass SW worlds because of planetary shields. Going through Slipspace the Covenant can bypass any shield system, they just avoid glassing the shield and it's power source so they can glass planets like Corusant without the Empire being able to stop

Will the Covenant may risk a slip inside near the core thinking that is maybe like High Charity and other large Covenant stations like the Unyiekding Hierophant; or, in the words of Sergeant Johnson upon seeing it Quote. I'm not sure what that thing is is. Don't look look like any 'uneven elephant' to me-more like squid kissing. Whatever it is, damned glad it's going to blow up. Forgot to post this before. HiddenMaster you make many great points. But I do not see why the Covenant would board the DS like this with around 7200 Tie fighters attacking. They would go through Slipspace into the center of the DS where the Empire have no defenses. I think that the core chamber of the DS/DS2 is big enough to hold a small Covenant fleet. The Empire would never know what hit them. And another joke, this for the Halo side. Dear Halo Universe Humanity

Davemazing, I would delete that Halo is g-- if I were you. I have heard of some unspeakable things that the Covenant have done to people that say that. This one guy called Elites g-- and fifty of them chased him around with Plsama Swords. And then there was another were the Shadow of Intent glass some one's house. No insulting ether side, because this is stuff that happens. I don't even use the word for fear of the Covenant attacking. And then you ha

I side with Halo here. I agree with you the Star Trek vs Star Wars in that it is a never ending, but I have looked around a lot, and I think that the Halo vs Star Wars is going to heat up to the STvsSW level. One major advantage that the Covenant have is Slipstreamspace drives, they are slower if you do not count the Forerunner Keyship. Unlike Star Wars Hyperspace, Slipspace is not through normal space, but another dimension, they can: jump through stars and planets with out any

Two giants of Sci-fi, Halo and Star Wars, who would win? Now, first here are some ground rules for this: No massive time line cross over that so many people seem to like. None of the everyone on Star Wars gangs up on Halo, not because it is just unfair, but also why would the rebels join up with the Empire? And everthing must be backed up by facts from both sides. &nbsp

It only gets better. Chapter one continued. The lift reached the bottom and the door slide apart and reveled what lay beyond: store fronts as far as the eye could see and throngs of people looking at many contraband items and weapons and many other illegal things, it had changed in the last fifteen years; in his day it was mostly stacks of crates and small stands. Now it look like an under ground city. He quickly found a holo-map, the Black Hawk was shall

When I said "weak" I meant as a front line unit Ilums are not good for an all-out attack alone, instead of charging ahead you could have taken time to reinforce your fleet. Ilums are weak in the area of hull and armor, you could have set a trap for that Marza, you could have sent a scout ahead to see if your enemy was ready with their own trap. Now once I see transtitves reply to my agrument against my counter abilities and then my cap ship research I'm leaveing this th

Darvin3, transitive, the part about mods is more for the ones like Agent of Kharma who seem to think things that they have not been beaten by because they did not build a good fleet; " they ought to nerf the hell out of that crap, and nerf it good." What he thinks is not what I won't to see.
And of course the main point I have made is: Use your mind, it is your best weapon.
