That's just part of the game, if you have that mindset never play an advent player. Just counter their culture with some of your own. The end game isn't all about massive fleets, sometimes the small things are the ones that spell either victory or defeat.
Why does everyone compare Space RTS games to Starcraft, I mean, Hell, can't a game be judged on it's own merit rather than attempting to compare it to another.
Because some people can't go into completely new ground, they need some familiarity. Even though that might twist their perception horridly.

It probably is weakened, TEC specializes in weak but cheap ships, the thing that's good about them is there economy. I don't play TEC or Vasari, so I couldn't tell you if it truely is a weakened version or not.
Is your friend incapable of understanding anything that isn't placed in terms of Starcraft? Has he not played any other RTS? Beyond vague aesthetic similarities between the races (and even that's a stretch), the games play very differently. Tell him about the separate battlefields around each planet. The heavier emphasis on economy and culture. The much larger scale. The focus on macro rather than micro in larger games. These traits aren't incomprehensible and if you just can't get the po

I've never actually seen tactical structures in that regard, I usually use them as a last resort to reinforce my defending fleet. I'll have to try that sometime. And lol to the tickmarks, idk what they're called either.
Lategame advent is all about the capital ships more so than the other races. They have good synergy with eachother and ressurect can be awesome if you screw up. A game I played that really dragged out (granted it was against the AI) I was fighting on two fronts and one side got completely destroyed. I lost 3 caps with level 5+. I was considering quitting at this point but my other fleet had a high level mothership, so I just bought 3 new caps and used ressurect on them. If I recall, it di

This is really weird. I just loaded Sins from Impluse, something I've done many times before and it doesn't have any of my settings. The only things it still has, thankfully, are my saves and acheivements. Anyone have any idea how this happened?

For one, I will admit I have done things I am not proud of, including stealing. But that doesn't make it right. The only reasons I put up those two codes is because they are so old. I meant nothing religious about them. Loserbob is right too about copy protection though, the dreamcast was killed mainly by piracy. I have a lot of popular games that would be subject to atleast twice the piracy if they didn't have the security measures on them. If you read what Stardock is saying, you'll see that t
The PS3 would be a good choice since a mouse/keyboard combo on a PS3 is as easy as plugging it in. I doubt it would happen but would be nice.
You can do the same thing for XBox360 and Wii, they all have USB ports.
The antimatter regenerator adds a regen rate of few antimatter per second, I think something like 6, but you can upgrade it. Thou I think TEC have the best antimatter regen with their culture upgraded bonus, it's not as much but affects all ships. Also lvl 6 ability of Dunnov makes TEC spam abilities like crazy.
I wanted to know what it regenerates for, and the strategy I want to know this for is strictly Advent.

For one you're not using tactical structures apparently. You should also make sure you're fighting easy level computers if you just bought it. In time the computer becomes unbelievabley predictable. You should recall your fleet, but have another fleet ready to start the offensive if they invade, then have your moving fleet come back to reinforce. Another thing, use pirates! Pirates are your friends. And scouts are your enemies, it lets other factions know where and what you have. If it's

To tell you the truth, your suggestions of new ships because of battle hardened factions reminds me somewhat of Starcraft 2. Hopefully if Stardock does go in that direction, it would be somewhat similar, instead of just boosting one faction, which would be rediculous, maybe TEC should have an anti-run on sentence beam.
I'm too scared to play online... I think I'm pretty good, but I hate thinking that then getting ripped to shreds lolThe opponents eviscerating your fleets all had their own fleets eviscerated at one time, too. You just have to suck it up and pay your dues if you want to become a decent online player. I suspect that many if not most of the folks you'll meet online understand that many people are still learning and you'll also meet lots of other newbies, too.
You might not

I have played, and from what I've learned, if someone thinks they have no chance of winning they quit. Even when I offer them half of a system so they can help me beat the person in first.
