Here, I made this post during the beta, but it still applies. http://www.gamereplays.org/community/index.php?showtopic=412581 Note: You will have to revert the change (rename the folder and zip file back) to play online.

This was brought up during the beta. I had hoped the 0-day patch would fix this.
That sucks, oh well.
I should say that the system we used for stun immunity is pretty versatile. For example, if we wanted Foul Grasp to not be affected by immunity but trigger it, we can certainly do it.
Now you got me curious. Can't wait to see the code you came up with.
Wow, awesome list of changes. Thanks to the devs for listening to our concerns and then doing something about it.
DalzK: Mike and I are trying to get that in. Just have to get engineering approval to get it into day 0.
That would be awesome.
lol...dont worry some one will have a mod that will let us play over hamachi (stares at Frogboy violently)
Did someone ask for another lan mod :)
My router is on the old side, but handles large amounts of connections just fine. Linksys WRT54G v4 running Tomato 1.23
Did you ever install any mods for Demigod?
irc.stardock.com recieves data on port 6667 irc.stardock.com ip: 38.98.152.155 You could try allowing all traffic to and from that ip can see if that helps.
Guild wars did kind of the same thing. You had to pre-order the game in order to play during their monthly beta weekends (or get access from a 3rd party site from a contest or some such for 1 weekend).
Read: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Authorization_hold This is probably what happened. The Stardock servers put an authorzation hold to validate that the credit card is legitimate. Same thing happens when you use your card anywhere else. The merchant puts an authorization hold on your card until they settle the charges with the credit card company. If no charge comes through the hold will typically fall off your card in the next 5 days. The only charges that I have seen be comp
That should be easy to code in.
Does that mean AI mods (if modding ever gets allowed) will have their own ELO rating? :)
Stunlcoking should not exist, ever. After a stun wears off the victim should be immune to stuns for a few seconds.
This is what my mod did. Bascically, when you were stunned you got stun immunity equal to double the length of the stun. Both affects were applied at the same time. So, if you got stunned for 2 seconds you would have a 4 second stun immunity applied at the same time (so you were immune for 2 seconds after the stun wore off). This method: 1)
It allows modified luas, just not for muliplayer. Of course, I didnt realize that until AFTER I had spent all the time updating my Mod Manager :(.
Stunlocking has been discussed since Beta 1. I even released a mod to try and combat it. So far, nothing has changed.
Nice interview. Can't wait for beta 2 :)
One word: Woot!
@ Weidbrewer: The problem is it does not say anywhere on the site as you are purchasing your pre-order that you cannot cancel the pre-order for a refund. If it had, then this would not be such a problem. Posting it on the forum only helps people that read the forum post before pre-ordering.
Quoting DeadMG, reply 17as Kryo said, a pre-order is a declaration that you WILL buy the game, and SD have lost out when you go back on that. TRUE : By subscribing to the StarDock business proposal of a pre-order-plus-beta-participation package, one has agreed to such a "contract".
Where is this "contract"? As Kryo said, you are bound by the return policy. There is nothing in the ret
Quoting TheAnonymousMrP, reply 15We did not buy the Demigod Beta, we pre-ordered the full Demigod product. Word!
Exactly my point. Nowhere on the site does it state that you cannot cancel a pre-order for a full refund. He has not received his pre-order yet; the game has not been released yet.
Lastly, if you paid within 30 days with your visa/mastercard/american express. You can call your credit card company and file a report. You might win since beta is a grey area.
Actually, it is 60 days from the date you received the statement the charge appeared on (at least in the states). Since your purcahse was a pre-order for Demigod, a game that has not yet been released and you have not received, and St
