Yeah.. Honestly, I have a problem with sins in that regard... Terran planets are WAY too common... They should be more rare and have massive populations... Sure this is the future and you have terraforming, but there are no dead planets like there are in reality. (Yes they are in Sins Plus, but not in the actual game...)

Perhaps giving them some difference engine to make them realize what ships are most threatening... If they learned to focus fire on Marza's and the like, it would be quite interesting and would make Marza strategies and some involving the Radiance less viable...

That is the thing... AI's target randomly to avoid mitigation, but when you have a large enough fleet, the instant bombardment demolishes anything in its path... It really does depend on its knowledge...

If you made a dyson sphere, you could potentially make the star colonizable i guess... Honestly, though, Dysons look cooler than Nivens or Aldersons...

People would be more likely to read something that isn't just one long paragraph that is only loosely connected WITH caps LOCK every OTHER word... [e digicons] For one, the planet destruction wouldn't work... You can't destroy planets.. This is hard coded into the exe. You could have it deal 99999 damage to a planet and make it uncolonizable due to radiation however. I know that you can change the meshes of an object so if

the templates are hard coded, but by modifying the conditions, you could change things... Theoretically, by adding a new set of races called CPsi, CTech, CPhase that would have lessened costs on what you want and increased on what you don't...

No no no... The grav well for the star would be inside sphere... The sphere would contain multiple planets inside it and then you would have a few others on the outside... You would need a hole in it somewhere so that phase lanes could go through*, but you could do that relatively easily... And don't make the graphics on it terribly good. So long as you do that, you shouldn't get too much lag... Something I found when messing with my own mod is

So that is how you intend to do it? use the advent kamikaze on these things and then just set the damage? Now, if only there was some counter variable that could be used for range or you could prevent the user from re-aiming...

Well, by making a race use fewer fleet supply and have them cost less and then set the AI to that, but I don't know of anything else...

Well... you could make it really really big... Perhaps have one mesh for the star itself and then outside that, have the sphere... I believe that the gravity well is only determined by distance from the center, rather than the outside, so it could work... You could also create an ability for it called: Dyson Regeneration By tapping into tremendous amounts of solar radiation absorbed by the sphere, your ships now regenerate shields and antimatter at 3x the nor

I recommend the mod tool.. Its much easier to use as far as interfaces go (and its free). Besides, its a mod tool. You make mods with it...

"Phasable planet (only Vasari can colonise, planet can phase out, destroying phase lanes and preventing bombardment indefinately)" That would be cool... More importantly, you could actually do it... Just make a researchable structure with an ability that would be like the cloaking ability and then have it use it on its host planet. The antimatter cost would be huge and it would only be temporary, but would be an

1. You'll have to make custom maps, but if you created a new planet type and copied the TerranHome code into it so it would be PLANET_PIRATEHOME.entity, just give it the same mesh as the normal pirate base and it would look right. Oh and make sure it has logistics slots... 2. Give it an attack like a guass rifle or if that doesn't work, give it the rad bomb ability from the Marza. I know that you can set planetary buffs, so it shouldn't be too hard... 3.

"haven't tried any Particle Forge stuff. My 3d modeling skills are bottom of the barrel. I'm more into coding." Hmm... Well, just mess around with XSI until you get something cool... You can get the hang of it pretty quickly... "Open user.setting, set showErrors to TRUE, and it'll give you the exact line in the file that's causing the crash. No guesswork and hair pulling needed." </blockq

It may have something to do with the individual ships... There may be some that jump faster. I wish I could give you a better answer, but phase jumping is the one thing I haven't tried to mod...

Yay for the program that is supposed to get rid of bugs and yet is itself buggy... Horah for irony... Anyways, post the code, more than likely, it'll be some typo. If not and it is a logic error rather than syntax, it will probably be caused by something else referring to your data. If you modified one of those, then when your enemy uses the ability, it could throw the errors... I don't know... From what I've heard, the issues with dev ha

I don't ever play as the Vasari, so you'll have to get someone else there, but... Personally, I go for civ until I can get enough trade ports to get the income needed to expand (on TEC)... For advent, I'd say go for culture but once you intend to go off to war, you'll need illuminators. One illum can take and beat three cobalts if you do a couple upgrades and if you get the illusion, its a landslide victory...

When exactly does it cause a dump (what are you doing at the time?) and try using developer... There is some setting that will tell you what line of code is causing the problem, but I don't know where because it doesn't seem to work on my computer...

Well... between Sins Plus and 7DS (for which I gave ideas for planets), there is not much left... Something I don't think exists though would be Cybernetic... In other words, a planet that is manmade and may or may not be covered in dirt to make it look normal... If you designed a new ability, you could create a death star planet with something similar to the Novalith to destroy enemy planets, or at least devastate them...
