I don't think i need to repeat Homeworld... If your looking for variety, Mass Effect is an excellent space opera RPG game... Nexus: The Jupiter incident is an excellent game its on steam i think theres a game called Genesis Rising, if they patched the hell out of it, and you can get several people playing it (the campaign is annoying... no, it is 100% annoying). If you can find a game where you can make enemy ships explode in blood. ALso, theres a game called..
fires shells that are too big. bigger than frigates!
watch a Babylon 5 episode called "The long Twilight" or something like that, its in season two... they have Mass Drivers on their ships for planetary bombardment, Mass Drivers being kinda similar to Gauss... basically, they throw stones, big stones, and very fast

what about the aura and as far as i know, yes more trade ports give you more income. Refineries max out at 3, theres a great thread about how refineries work, but put simply they boost the income of the extractors in the same, and adjacent gravity wells . Advent trade ports have a 'Resource Focus' that only works in the same gravity well this was the second last concept in the game i figured out, the last being Shield Mitigation D=
It would still be good for games which require some serious horsepower(I.E. Supreme Commander)
Someone for Supreme Commander came up with the "CoreMaximizer" that allowed the game to actually run on several cores, rather than do so as needed. But SupCom was designed to run on 2+ cores, if Sins isn't i don't think a tool like this is possible If you look it up on the GPG forums, maybe someone thats more awesome than me
I usually use autocast on resource focus. But I never saw it switch, it's always in "refinery mode". Would it switch to "trade mode" when e.g. I have less credits than resources??? Or a lower income rate???
i assume the autocast ai isn't able to know when Focus is a good idea or not But I agree with LHDAlluxul, I'd only activate focus on 4 asteroid worlds, or if your strained for metal or crystal, and even then only for small
I get this but i have no mods installed
Agreed, use Scouts or Flak ships to sweep; but slow the fleet WAY down when doing so; just like in real life, you can slowly/safely walk through a mine field, or run through and take your chances (and lumps).
I agree, the flak frigate would seem to make sense from a literal perspective. kind of carpet bombing space with flak should set off a mine...
ah just downloading the beta, having a lot of fun but about an hour ago i alt-tab'd from the game, and then maximized it. I was fully zoomed out and when i started to zoom in on a planet the screen went black, crashed and then a window appeared, stating that the game was performing a memory dump and saving something in a .dmp file. just wondering if its fixable or will be fixed in Entrenchment 1.0
