i agree - i think if a player leaves in under 60 seconds it should not count towards a loss. I usually can decide in that time if the connections are good enough. Allows you to assess if people dropped on the loading screen ect. Another issues i had the last few games was this: 1. Perfect game (this was a 5v5) and then someone had to leave. No lag issues or sim speed ect. Game was indeed pe

I figured someone would want to know... You know a permalink at the top of the tech support forum may be a good idea. AMD/ATI catalyst drivers. Nvidia forceware drivers. those are generic links to the pages that give access to whatever driver you want...

Wolfram makes mathemtatica, an application that does mathemtatical calculations or graphs. The alpha is a new search engine that is supposed to be able to interpret questions that people write into it and find meaninful answers to the questions you ask and give related results. Stephen Wolfram, the founder of Wolfram research, has a PhD in Physics, and since 1973 has been pursuing the field of scientific computing.

Having to win the full game may be easy when the opposition isn't fighting back but it still takes time. Additionally, it turns out people are really poor judges of when games are actually "lost." I can't tell you how many games of Dota I've won after MULTIPLE people on my team have left after it looked like we weren't d
I agree with what you are saying, but a lot of other people were having similar experiences too. Plus, this is a diverse group of people ranging from bottom quintile of skill to top quintile of skill, so I do find the argument that Player X can play well against seven demigods, but eats shit when fighting Erebus, but that's not due to any inherent quality of Erebus himself to be a little hollow. <br /

I have to agree with you, be patient everyone. While I have had a good few and no small variety of problems...I have good faith that Stardock is working on it, and have every intention of making it work for those of us with problems. I finished a 5v5 custom game tonight, which was a first for me, prior to this it was impossible...I did get a fair amount of lag, though I blame one person's torrents for that.
I think you can see it happening, when people's understanding allows them for vivid pointed thorough description, that shows one way or another the character of an imbalance, then you're there. I don't think people's depth with the game is there yet, it's difficult to even play a large game without technical issues. I can't imagine having enough experience to really criticize it, when technical issues bar some gameplay. &nbs

The situation has to be looked at realistically and rationally. And really the Erebus nerf comes too soon after the release, we can't even play trouble free online games to get a good sense of the way things really behave to start with, and I don't think anyone has had enough time to really reflect on what is balanced and what isn't.
I agree some Demigods when stacked multiple times on one team are pure cheese, but untill we get at least 2 more demigods on each side, limiting a DG to one per team is counter-productive. Therefore what needs to happen is GPG needs to add four of my suggested demigods and then implement this.
:P I don't think it is but...I can see why you say what you say.
I think that there are abilities that are overpowered, but I don't think that the game is entirely unbalanced as a result. Abilities Mines: Mines is a bit much. Even if I can see them there is nothing that I can do about them. They can also be used as grenades which tends to result in some heavy damage before you can move out of blast zone. Create an arming time and/or allow for them to be destroyed (AOE or at

I really think that it should be possible to (probably under game options) select so that multiple identical demigods (two regulus, two erebus, two UB, two whatever) cannot be on the same team. Too often this is used for...what I feel are pretty cheap purposes. If the map is well exploited by such an such, two of them on one team isn't uncommon. That is not to say that this kind of thing cannot be balanced, both teams may undertake it, and make for a balanced game. But the other options are,

does commodore 64 count? if so then bards tale and echelon not long thereafter. on mac, first might and magic, first sim city (mac classic, system 6.07, awesome computer) I didn't actually buy an x86 pc until 2004, so my first PC game was bloodrayne :P We had a Texas Instruments computer when I was a kid for a while, it was TI81 or something, that was an interesting system, had a keyboard and a cartridge slot.
I've done a similar strategy. It works, but I think it's cheap. It prevents the enemy from doing anything and forces them to stay away from you the entire game. It's very easy to do a hit and run with the UB, but very hard to counter such an attack, especially when done 3 times in a row. I try to avoid such strategies unless I'm cornered Bara
That doesn't stop people in my experience.

A firewall can be designed to drop a silently discard a packet so that an invader doesn't get any information about the computer. When someone pings the firewalled computer, they won't get a response, giving them no information about the computer, as opposed to any denial of access messsage, this prevents them from knowing if there's even a computer there, or getting any useful information. The point of this is that that application simply may not be getting any response because of a firewall
