You will then need to build 2 hypergates. Then use one to link to other to create a lane. With three, you could make a triangle, with each hypergate connecting to another hypergate. How do you make a triangle? <span style="caret-color: #fdfdfd; font-size: 16px; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: #0

Thanks Seleuceia. I've been all through the menu system at the load of a saved game, with a game in progress, and starting a new game and I can't find any victory condition options. Available options are for lock / unlock teams, max fleet size, pirates active, and the speeds of research / production etc Were the victory conditions options perhaps something that got added in one of the two expansion packs? I am playing just the original game in sing

I'm pretty new to Sins. I'm playing the original game without the two expansion packs. Playing single player. In my first few games I got the victory screen when my opponents were all eliminated / almost eliminated, which is fine. Later I won a couple of larger games when everyone other than my ally was eliminated / almost eliminated, which is also fine. So now I am playing a very large map, and everyone is eliminated (there was a race eliminate

I always choose: Earth and Life if playing Kingdom Earth and Death if playing Empire Earth has the enchanted hammers city spell that adds +1 material. This is really important to get your production off to a quick start from your first city. This is better than choosing a site with one more production and one less essence, because the essence can be repurposed later when you have multiple cities. Earth also has tremor at level 2 that is e

I've had a go at assessing the value of adding cities later in the game. Taking startno's formula from post 11, of total production = a.x.(100-3x), where x is the number of equal sized cities, and each city has a production of a. The balance point at which the total production for the x cities is equal to that of (x+1) cities is x.(100-3x) = (x+1)(100-(3x+1)) which resolves to the same answer as startno reached solving it as a differential, e

If you complete researching a new tech on the same turn as you complete the Spell of Making then the game starts to play the Spell of Making victory music but brings you to the new tech research screen. You can't exit from the tech screen. I noticed this in 1.3 and I've had it again in 1.4. Saved game at: https://www.dropbox.com/s/43hba4xkbtb5u5p/Spe

Finished it. Took a little longer than some of the guys :-( Pretty uneventful. Didn't lose any cities to monsters or opponents. Lost one troop unit total in battles. Magnar attacked with 6 or 7 big stacks (8 units each) once I was building the towers but Procipinee blew them apart (with a little help from her custom warhammer stacks, which were up at level 10 by then). Played it as a normal game, so levelled up Procipinee as a mage. If I played it aga

I get a lot of crashes. Probably averaging a bit over 1 per 2 hr session. They come in 4 varieties: Crash to blue screen with dos-style text saying that the PC is shutting down to protect it. Says dumping physical memory. Reboots The PC locks up. ctrl+alt+del has no affect. Need to power off. Screen hangs. Goes through various black or grey screens and finally comes up with a Windows box saying Fatal DX error. Screen hangs. Goes throu
