cool, it'll be good to get feed back from other players beside myself and you [e digicons][/e]
EternalRequiem
KILLER ASTEROIDS OF DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
Right, thanks for the heads up I'll get on testing then and see if anything breaks lol
your correct on the AI controlling one of the custom races, it's just me being the Nephilim and the AI being the Plague. I'll set up another game with the auto-save function on.
Right, keep getting minidumps, usually happens around 30 mins into the game or a little over it
NP glad I could impart some of my EVE knowledge
The doomsday weapons from EVE are basically huge ass AOE (area of effect) weapons that mean bad things for the fleet that's being targeted by it. Usually it ends up popping a lot of ships open on the receiving end of the attack
Okay here's the link to the vid Myfist put up, I went to the trouble of PMing him since I couldn't find it and well he provided it, gotta love the guy. Softimage|XSI Polygon Reduction Tool
Rus has been busy working on the Sins of Fallen mod, I would know because I'm working with him in testing it out, so far I believe it's the main project he's working on atm but I can't read his mind so it's likely he's working on other projects... and of course there is to take into consideration that RL is ever present ;)
I suggest you do what I do which is extract the patch to your desktop and then open up the folder holding the files for the mod. I usually drop the files in the patch folder into the folder with all the stuff for the mod. I don't run into any problems usually.
Right, I'll do that with the ships, very glad you like the battelship model that much :P I believe there is a way to reduce the polys to a point where it won't do much damage to the shape of the ship and there is also a way to make the polys line up correctly so they don't look so out of place. myfist put up a link in one of the threads showing exactly what to do for reducing polygons in XSI
Got to playing a bit more and I noticed some of the polygons on some of my models sticking out more then others, did some of the polygons get moved around when you triangulated them? Some seem to stick out more then others and make the models look a little funny. I also noticed something odd. The order for which Capital ships and frigates and cruisers are set up in the empire tree is messed up. Capital ships should always show up first on the list not the frigates. Capi
Right I'll do that, besides the minidump I had earlier, any word on that to see if I was correct or if it was just a random thing? It was only about 20 to 30 mins in game why the heck would the plague get their super weapon up and running that quickly? If anything the super weapon is suppose to be the end of the research tree
Another reason why I did the alterations, the battleship is still a viable platform for a ship, it's the reason I chose it in the first place to make the modifications :P
You are correct, lol and I should know better with models and such seeing how your the one who gave me pointers in how to begin modeling in the first place Thoumsin ;)
lol INDEED! muahahaha... lol I'm watching Stargate too much again glad I own the whole series in the big ol box set. Shame I don't own any Stargate Atlantis box series yet.
lol I noticed something that made me laugh, you guys spelled O'Neill wrong on some of the descriptions, I see O'Neil not O'Neill. In his own famous words. "It's spelled O'Neill with two L's not one." xD
lol I won't comment on that... it's just too funny as is :P
You are correct with me having no knowledge of modding and I don't take offense to it at all. I'm a modeler not a modder and I am still learning, my skills are small compared to the rest of the guys modding and doing models. What's difficult about doing models is the small details, why it is so difficult depends on how much time it takes to do the model. Though this also depends on the persons skill and experience :P
From my understanding and I know you guys do a lot of work but comparing this to X3tc is well... hard to do no insult intended. X3 just allows for much more details on the models and as I understand there are more content that'll be in the mod for X3tc conversion. You all have done a lot of work I know that and I know I am not a part of the mod team but I follow things very well. I have a very good fair guess as to how much work you've guys put into this. I don't mean to say you've done less
[quote who="Zvezdochets" reply="1929" id="2799703"] Quoting EternalRequiem, reply 1910Greetings guys from the X3TC universe http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5xQyRSzkrM http://www.vimeo.com/4442222 http://www.vimeo.com/4444127 watch and be amazed But modder team spent on this mod four year! And 11 members. Of course, mod very excellent! Pleas
no, I think they mean you need to download the full mod and then the patches and then APPLY the patches to the main file that holds the mod if your downloading it the first time
Processes don't matter with this game, if the usage of the game hits 2 gigs of memory you will hit a minidump period, no if ands or butts about it
Oh, I see well Zombie will get around to it I guess for the effects for the Nephilim unless he plans on using the base PSI effects for the Nephilim
Exactly what effect or effects are we talking about Syneptus?
