Why do people get so hung up over registering? Presumably Microsoft paid for the skin to be developed, and as such have a right to do this if they want. If you have an XBox they you are probably already registered here; if you don't I find it strange that you would want the skin. If it really bothers people that much then either don't download it, or create a dummy account for all the websites that actually want your details before they give you something.
Page is OK now here
Problem is that SD apps get updated so frequently! The darn things would be out of date before they had been printed!
Yep, must be in the air. Looks like I'm facing my third redundancy and I'm only 29. I hasten to add that these are due to restructured and not incompetance!
... and the Teletubbies ... aargh ... shit, there goes the image
I should emphasise that this was due largely to an viral email campaign between students to specify religion as 'Jedi' just to see if enough names could be obtained to get the religion classified for a laugh! If Mr Bush expects our boys to remove weapons of mass destruction by levitation he could be sorely disappointed!
The Force is evidently still strong with the Star Wars legacy - Jedi is the chosen "religion" for thousands of people in Britain, according to newly released census results. The 2001 census reveals that 390,000 people across England and Wales are devoted followers of the Jedi "faith" made fa
Hi, Sorry, been away for the weekend so I missed these. Mail me personally ([email protected]) and we can discuss things further but here's a few notes relating to your questions which we can progress: 1) The code does not need user interaction. OnScriptEnter will set up parameters etc when the object is first loaded (i.e. DX loads). You can set up a timer here, and then add code to this time the runs at set intervals without action required. 2) The sample script pop
Try this and see how nice it is to the processor. It will loop through the printers on the local machine and display it's status. Sub Object_OnScriptEnter Object.SetTimer 10,5000 End Sub Sub Object_OnTimer10 strComputer = "." Set objWMIService = GetObject("winmgmts:" & "{impersonationLevel=impersonate}!\\" & strComputer & "\root\cimv2") Set colInstalledPrinters = objWMIService.ExecQuery ("Select * from Win32_Printer") For Each objPrinter In colInst
Newfeed is great, but I guess I must have missed the WinCustomize newsfeed!
No joy here either
Yep, still down. Larry, any chance of creating a WinStyles theme for this?
When signing up, it would be useful if the "acceptable use" page worked, especially given the above concerns about the security of your details!
Well done guys. Hopefully this will quieten those numerous ungrateful individuals who don't actually appreciate how much you are spending in monetary and effort terms to give them something for free!
Definitely there now
I'm really looking forward to seeing a new build on OD soon, as it seems to have a lot of potential. Well done guys.
Having checked out Clockwise 3D I find it runs FAR more smoothly even on my laptop. It is not much different in terms of visual quality too, which is impressive as it does not appear to have been updated since May 2000. I think 3DNA has a bit of catching up to do, but I really hope they manage it because there is definitely a gap in the market for something like that.
Yep, that looks like it's worth checking out - far lower spec requirements and smaller download.
It would be even nicer if nVidia didn't have that rediculous bilious green colour in their logo Other than that great job. Well done in forging the links Koop.
Well 3DNA is certainly a great concept, but for me it doesn't quite hit the mark. While my Athlon 1900+ and GF3 may not be state of the art these days it still runs a little slow for my liking. Also, the graphics and blockiness make it look a tad outdated. Before you crucify me for me criticism, I do appreciate it is still a beta and that the themes are early experiments. I will certainly give it another go when it hits 1.0 <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images
It already is if you have Object Desktop
Well Brad, I guess this is an indication that the marketing stategy is working !! i.e. I have WindowBlinds and SkinStudio but "I need SkinStudio XP".
I can't see how this could feasibly do away with the need for Stardock products unless I misunderstand you. You could download an AutoCAD design but unless you had AutoCAD it wouldn't be much use.
