I could live with 20% more but its more like 50%... Amazon is a great source for English books though, they are a lot cheaper than your average retail book store. H&S is free for books and I can browse in peace and quiet in a much larger collection. Which brings me back to Impulse: Its a great idea, I love how you can easily update and manage your games - but its still an adventure to actually buy a game! Either it doesnt let me pay for it or some other comp

I got a good deal on my preorder just before beta 1 started but if somebody buys the game on Amazon now... Unfortunately Pay Pal payment doesnt work for all the games on Impulse. There was a weekend sale for Soulstorm a while back and I couldnt buy it via Pay Pal, so that was a lost sale. Some games cant be bought from German users (Witcher Enhanced Ed.). Thats two lost sales so far, Stardock, please work on that... [e digicons]B)[/e]
Demigod sells for € 49,95 on Amazon.de , thats roughly $64,00 and this is NOT the Collectors Edition you get via Impulse from Stardock. The best offer from a dubious little company was €4
Tell you what, I'll be sure to give some free copies of Elemental (our next game) to people who help us and the community on this kind of thing.
Thats actually a great idea Frogboy. The translations for most games are so bad that I always install the English version. In some games (Oblivion) the translation provided by the publisher was not only incredibly bad, some stuff was just plain wrong. They also used abbrevations to an extend that mad
There was a map editor in the first beta. It was basically a slightly adjusted SupCom map editor and easy enough to handle if you have some experience with SupCom mapping. The maps for Demigod are a lot more complex but the basics havent changed that much from what Ive seen. Unfortunately the map editor was removed later and I have tried to get the newer map versions to work with the old installation without success. A map editor for Demigod would be apprechiated, while it is a lot of
I'm one of the 'old' SupCom mappers and I've checked out the map editor that came with the first beta release. To create a new map you will need experience in 3D modeling, texturing, lua scriptig, probably effect scripting and texturing and some experience with the SupCom engine. Small adjustments to existing maps will be rather easy to do (light settings, textures, buildings...) but I wouldn't expect any completely new maps anytime soon. If GPG/Stardock release importers/exporters fo
I had the same problem. Sometimes it worked on the 2nd attempt but I died more than once because of this. [Suggestion] Would it be possible to make the target of the teleport spell snap to your buildings (like mexes in SupCom). The teleport is often used to get out of harms way and back to your base to heal and buy stuff. Time is of the essence and this would shave off the split second that usually leads to my [e digicons]x_x[/e] On a second thought, <st
Ah, this explains a lot, good to know! Seems a look in the luas wont hurt, thx Trigeminal!
I'm so looking forward to playing the generals! Thanks for the good news Draginol! Any chance you can tell us which maps we can expect and if the achievement made
Had a lot of trouble with the editor. I would love to see you or someone else begin to put together a map editor tutorial.
A little to soon to start on tutorials yet and mapping in Demigod will be really more modding - but there are a lot more things that can be edited than in SupCom too. If you have SupCom you should give the SupCom mapeditor a look. I will make a Demigod mapping tutorial once we have a better idea wh
I pretty much agree with almost everything you wrote Reaver. Your ideas would change the atmosphere of the game for the better and some of them are rather easy to implement while others are might be a little tricky: Good vs. evil : I think this is probably the most important point, the player has to be able to see if a Demigod is on his team or not in the blink of an eye! The changes to the 3D meshes (more spikes...) are probably rather time-consuming but giving the ev
Erm, not sure what you mean but the the icons Im talking abbout are there the whole time. They only disappear for a few seconds when you are stunned or dead. When you are resurrected or can move again they are back.
Awesome work, the Demigod beta is already more fun than many games that have been already released! There are however two things that should be adressed with high priority IMO: - Identifing the teams: Its rather difficult in a melee with several demigods and creeps to identify the opposing players. Yes, there are differences but they are to subtle. It needs to be absolutely clear which of the two Rooks fighting at a flag is my teammate and which I need to stun asap. This was a
I found 2 small graphic bugs: The icon of the large health potion diappears if stunned or dead (Unclean Beast): potion potion 2 The closing symbol overlay in the upper right corner was not properly aligned. <a href="
The lava map is slowing down to -5 to -8 after a while (15-20 minutes), the waterfall map works fine although there are more units. I still have around 40 fps, sim speed is the problem. Intel Core 2 Duo 6400 (2,13GHz), 2GB RAM X1950 Pro (Asus, driver version 8.9) Windows XP 32 PS: maybe it has something to do with the stuck units. I had a bunch of giants stuck between the towers and it got worse the more units got stuck there...
The thing in the bottom corner is Unclean Biest and YAY for beta 1A! Thanks for the heads-up Draginol.
IMO that's a very good idea. I would also like to take a look at (and probably increase) my abilities when I'm dead. 10-20 seconds respawn time feels like an eternity in Demigod and there is not much you can do. Checking what's going on doesn't take more than a few seconds. Doesn't matter what it will be in the end but I'd like to have something to do during that time.
