If it wasn't clear from the original post, until the patch update clears Stardock testing and is posted, avoid fiddling with your UI while dead. - Servo

It turns out that 6000 series cards were also effected by this. The fix is included in the 1.1 patch. If you haven't seen it on a computer with a different card, I think you will find the visual difference to be quite remarkable. - Servo
- Oak[1] hits Erebus[2]. - Oak[1] dies to Oak[2]/Erebus[2]. - Tower[1] kills Erebus[2]. - Oak[1] gets assist gold (while dead).
Well played, sir. I will be checking this out. I suspect this could occur before the patch, we *shouldn't* have touched anything related to assist rewards, but sometimes you jiggle the kitchen sink and the hallway lamp flickers, so who knows... - Servo
You get gold for assists now, when dead. That is bogus.
Not sure how you are seeing this happen. I just ran a couple simple tests to confirm this, and couldn't get it to happen. If this does happen, it was not an intentional change, and we need some solid repro steps to isolate it. I want to believe you but, it isn't as simple as shoot+die=profit. - Servo
fyi I did hear back and GPG will include a slightly different implementation of the fix in an upcoming patch so yay! I don't know if it will be in the next one coming out though...since that one is already at SD's QA. We'll see I guess. I guess they all took the long weekend off.
For the record, bman654 is THE MAN. [e digicons]O:)[/e] We were down to deconstructing the wrong code trees&
Thanks especially to kstampy and SVoyager so far for providing such detailed descriptions for the targeting bug. This might seem silly to most, but it is quite valuable to us. Due to our inability to reproduce the bug in-house, I am positive that it is triggered by playstyle nuance, as opposed to hardware or connectivity. The chain triggering of abilities for the Unclean Beast is a great clue that already seems to have pointed us in the right direction, according to the engineer
The GPG guys are reading the forums, but are focusing their efforts on the game right now. Servo has posted a few times but mostly they're leaving it to our guys (such as me) who aren't directly involved in the work going on, so it doesn't get slowed down.
Kryo, Zargon, and Frogboy all do a fantastic job of funneling information for us both ways. On average they are able to devote more time to intensely watching their forums
It is funny in retrospect to see how the OP broke the gameplay bugs down. We thought they were broken down the same way which was leading us to many false positives and incorrect assumptions on causality while troubleshooting. They are actually interrelated bugs with two completely unrelated causes. About an hour ago we isolated these two causes of Blocking/Stucking/Targeting in-game as you refer to them, and knowing is more than half the battle for us. T
Why stop at 2 monitors? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffXO0Uonffk He is clearly using external apps to handle edge tracking. Doesn't go into much detail about the setup other than the cards though.
Was that the in-game description of Sedna, or somewhere else? We couldn't find the problem anywhere in the in-game text. The Oak one was easy to find and fix, expect that in the next build update. - Servo
Your sound card may have a limited number of channels, as diablo5 mentioned above, try changing your audio settings in-game to "low fidelity audio", and toggle the reverb to "off". - Servo
It likely wasn't the same actors, the actors were local to Seattle, and SSG worked through Ubisoft on WBC. The voice direction in WBC and WBC2 was so over the top, that any good actor is able to mimic that type of voicework. Voice actors LOVE being told to go over-the-top by the way, most of them are just one Safeway commercial away from a nervous breakdown. - Servo
Thanks for pointing this out. We tracked it down, and it has been eliminated for the next version. It was actually every 30 seconds, when it performed a special synchronization with the servers. - Servo
I'm not very experienced with this genre... I've read the guides available and still I'm lost... I would much appreciate a detailed step by stepper to get me going.... Help... It is so easy to forget everything we take for granted in the game knowledge we develop that comments like this are a breath of fres

Please regress with the Beta 3 update. - Servo
Okay, that eliminates one variable. You said that you disabled your on-board sound card. What made you think that this might be the culprit? I don't think we have seen problems that would heavily impact performance. Was there a warning about the device or something? - Servo
Placeholder voice. The real Oak sounds (and looks) like a superhero. We won't be adding these until January as they need alot of treatment before being added to the game. Apologies if the voices in there right now are annoying, they are all one guy here in house doing them for timing and testing purposes. - Servo
Thanks for updating us. To help us continue testing, could I have you download the standard Bink player found here: http://www.radgametools.com/bnkdown.htm And open any of the movie files located in the /movies subdirectory of the Demigod install. I would like to know if you still see a very low framerate in playing a Bink movie without using the Demigod engine. We have seen some problems in the past wi
