I really enjoyed speedracer. I loved the over the top feeling to it. I haven't seen the other two yet though.

Happy Birthday! Today is my oldest son's birthday too. Chocolate cake sounds like a yummy way to celebrate to me.

Thank you so much to the wonderful JUers who helped me. I appreciate the gift which will be put to good use getting my truck repaired so it will pass inspection. Even more than that I appreciate that you truly care about me. I think this is why it makes me so sad when people diss JU or leave for greener pastures. JU is more than a blog site. It is truly a community. I really do care about the people here and when someone leav
I never watched Dr. Who but it was written about in the book I just read, The Curse of the Spellmans by Lisa Lutz. It's a funny book and they love Dr. Who. I will have to check out Torchwood at some point.
I am for McCain so I'll let my prejudices be clear. I think this illustrates that he has actually done his job as a Senator when Obama never really did. Obama basically got elected to Senate, didn't show up for votes, didn't distinguish himself at all and then started running for President. I think it's fine for McCain to make this financial crisis his number one priority but I do think he should still participate in the scheduled debate.
I didn't even think about people not seeing season two. I hope I didn't ruin anything for you. I want to watch Season two again. Can you not watch the new shows streaming online? Or is that only in the U.S.? I haven't seen Torchwood. I think it was on one of the pay cable channels. Maybe I'll be able to see it on DVD.
Heroes is one of my favorite tv shows. I was so excited to see that it was back on tonight. I seem to have lost a bit from last season. At some point, I will either rent season 2 on DVD or see if it is streaming online so I can fill in the blanks. Last season was a bit of a let down. The wonder twins were just annoying. What happened to the brother? The first two shows of the new season were great though. Some new villains are alway
I'm glad you're back to civilized life of running water and lights that turn on when you flip a switch. Hopefully soon eau de pond water will be eradicated from your home. I am in Texas but we were just far enough west to only have it look ugly and rain a little bit. Maybe some wind but not too bad. I have a friend from Orange, Texas who lost her home though. It seems crazy that I missed it in Texas but people in Ohio and are dealing with the storm. You nev
My favorite bad movie is Tremors. Giant killer worms. Starship Troopers is another horrible movie that I still watch anyway. This time giant killer bugs in outerspace.
I have a few friends in the neighborhood. Mainly the families of my boys friends. I am generally friendly but not really friends. I will smile and wave, say hello but I don't really hang out with anyone. If I were in a real bind, I am sure they would help me out and I would be glad to do the same if they needed help. I do know what you mean about how some people will take advantage of that.
I have taken the class several times. It is required for home daycare providers. I have never had to use it but I hope that it will come back to me if I'm ever in that situation. Really, I probably am overdue to renew it. I will have to peek at my card. I think the Red Cross one is good for two years and the AHA is good for three. I think it's been longer than that. I think it is always best to be prepared.
talk down to them.
This is exactly what I'm talking about. It drives me crazy. People just don't seem to have any respect for anyone or anything anymore. Ah...kids these days - lol.
So when did you get the new job? And Congratulations! Guess I have been remiss of late.
Thanks. I don't know if I really blogged about it or just mentioned it in a comment. Yes, I am working outside of the house now. I am a
I was reading the latest time and they had an article about ways to be of service. One of the ideas was to rethink Christmas. There are many programs to ensure that kids have a good Christmas but many times seniors are forgotten. That is such a good description. It is so sad that these people lead a rich, full life and at some point, they are just forgotten. Many are alone and lonely. I think I am going to contact my church and see if we can come up wi
[e digicons]X([/e] - wahhh! Say it aint so, Sancho. I know I'm not one of the ones that suck (I really don't but I'm going to pretend that I know that while at the same time hopefully getting the reassurance that I'm not one of the one's who sucks). I hate the exodus of regulars from JU. Come on we have cute little emoticons now. A blogger blog just isn't as interactive as JU - really. I mean I'll read and comment but it's j
Why not? He has the experince of Dan Quayle.
Dan Quayle had more experience than Obama. He was a two term congressmen and was elected to two terms as senator before he was VP. Ping pong does sound like fun. Somehow I always think of Forest Gump when I hear about ping pong now. I haven't played in years.
Just keep visiting and you will eventually find your church home. Sorry, I couldn't bring myself to watch the clip. I don't like being scared.
Obama is now on the attack. McCain made a comment about how America's mayors are more plugged into their citizens day to day challenges. Here's the actual quote " [L]isten, mayors have the toughest job, I think, in America. It's easy for me to go to Washington and, frankly, be somewhat divorced from the day-to-day challenges people have." This makes perfect sense to me. I am sure that serving in the Senate in Washin
What a great up close nature lesson. Hopefully, it won't start munching on your foliage.
speaking of overblowing something.........millions? Really? Then can you finish this top ten list? I'll name the first. 1. Palin
Ummm...I have no idea who she is going to have on her show. But let's assume that she has 100 guests on her show - guess everyone else in the world is someone she didn't have on her show - she has shows with authors but not every author and in general not authors whose voice she doesn't agree with. She has shows with mo
google news for me. I had igoogle for a while but I guess stopped at some point.
This is ridiculous. Oprah chose not to have her as a guest. There are millions of people Oprah chooses not to have as a guest. She is under no obligation to provide a forum for Pallin or any other office seeker. People need to move on and focus on important things. This isn't it.
