This may or may not help. One way for mouse cursor to go choppy is if it is an optical mouse. Tiny stuff on the surface can interfere and cause the cursor to jump around. Just thought I'd throw it out there. Don't kill me too too much.
Thanks, no killing here today ;) My mouse is optical/wireless. I feel pretty confident the mouse is pretty clean (I'm one of those spray everything with canned air kind of people ;p ). I'll pay closer attention when it happens again an

Hello, I hadn't seen Cursor FX or the Vista Desktop Window Manager taking a high amount of CPU during the times of choppiness though I may not have been looking close enough. If it gets choppy again I'll check CPU utilization and report on that. Thank you.
This has been resolved in BETA 4.
Hello, You stopped short of saying whether this build is or should be available. I currently see no updates on SD Central and I am running Beta 3. Thank you.

I am also experiencing the choppiness under Vista along with a cursor that goes under certain windows at times. Dropping back to the default windows cursor brings things back to normal. I haven't had much chance to play around with it so this all I have to report.

Ok, this is very curious. I just happened to look under View->Show/Hide Applications in Stardock Central and Deskscapes was unchecked (?!?). I have now installed it (did not need to shut off UAC, using SDC 2.51.512 build 164) and I can say it looks great! Woot! :)
Sounds like a Stardock Central issue. Make sure you have build 164. (help->about).
Hello, I'm confused by this. I was caught with the "error 29" problem as well and saw that I had Stardock Central build 163 installed. Restarting it did not tell me there was a build 164 available. I had to go and re-download the package from the Stardock website. Once that installed it said there was an update and it updated to build 164. Would there have been another way to

Hello, I found it. Under the My Account tab, then Preferences, there is an option that says "Show skins with this rating or higher". I had that set to 4 stars. Since 12/16 no one has submitted material in these groups that has rated 4 stars or higher. I don't remember ever setting this to begin with but I wouldn't swear to it. Anyways I can now view all with no problem. Thank you for your time. Take care.

Hello, If I click on DesktopX Objects or DesktopX widgets links from the front page, it shows the last updated object as Realistic Animated Snowflakes, posted on 12/16, for DesktopX Objects and Santa Mail 2004, posted on 12/11 for DesktopX widgets. If I click on the Gallery tab, I see there are several updates to each category since then. Clicking on the links on the left for each of those category stills just shows the older files. Is this

i like this feature though i think if you lay out your desktop with a little thought an option like this won't be used very much. still, it's nice to have. to improve on desktopx i'd really like to see certain quirky things cleaned up. for example, the other night i decided to play around with it a bit (i've had it for quite a while though just recently started messing with it). i decided to download and install an object from wincustomize. can't remember exactly the name of it, som
