This was fun and interesting to read and look at, and thank you for writing this. But I just can't help but ask when will Saturn get its rings? It's just not Saturn without them.
Could you advise in a little more detail what a C looks like? For example, your post has a focus on the first 100 turns and has no weapons focus ... to me this is not a C it's an F.
Brad said in his original post, "However, not all these choices were good choices. It should have picked a single weapon system to focus on." So that will be at least one of the things they'll be f
Are double stars still planned? Assuming they are, I can understand them taking a while as there's probably a good number of things that are on a higher priority to be worked on right now. Also, if double stars are gonna be implemented, could you tell us about the mechanics of them? Thank you.
Hi, I am going to share a few racial trait ideas and see what others think about them. Does anyone think being able to spend points on different racial traits that give you better/more starting ships (like another scout ship or the one scout ship you normally start out with is faster), more credits, and/or more green tiles on your home planet would be a good idea? Also, maybe you could choose to start with less/worse ships, less credits, and/or less tiles but receive racial trait

Hi, I purchased two dreams yesterday off of WinCustomize but at the store page it gave me a small discount for, I believe, being a WinCustomize subscriber. Also, my account level was subscriber for a little bit, but I am not a subscriber. I have never gone through the process of buying a subscription. I'm just worried that I might have cheated Stardock a bit in that purchase. Is there anything I should do? Thank you.
Does this mean if I were to, for example, research straight through the line of techs to get Laser II in one match the cost of the Laser II tech would be cheaper than if I were to, in another match, research many other techs in addition to the line of techs required to get to Laser II? Yes. The more techs you research, the more expensive all future techs will become. Weapon-techs a
In the GalCiv2: Ultimate Edition manual it says in the Civilization Research section, "Different technologies have different costs, but these aren't fixed; as you research new technologies, the cost of future technologies will increase." Does this mean if I were to, for example, research straight through the line of techs to get Laser II in one match the cost of the Laser II tech would be cheaper than if I were to, in another match, research many other techs in addition to the line
Do you think you could try to post the next announcement for August 29, Friday's dev stream on Thursday please? I am gone during the time on Friday's when these posts are posted and I would like to ask a question.
I will start by saying I don't have GalCiv 3 yet. In Gal Civ 2 I believe there were a lot of stats and graphs that would give good info on your and other civs, but I am kind of partial toward this. I think it's allowing you to have good data about a civ without actually having to scout him out and use what you have available to you carefully. Yes I do realize that in order to get the info about a specific civ you still have to encounter that civ once, but I
Thanks for the replies everyone. I should have said that I realize there are times that it doesn't give you any gameplay advantage to move one hex at a time. One example of this would be when you move your ship in such a way that it wouldn't uncover any fog of war. I realize that some people would like to spend all their movement points with a single click to move the game along at a faster pace, but there are some people who you could describe somewhat as perfection
Hi, I don't have the Galactic Civilizations 3 alpha yet, but I have the Galactic Civilizations 2 Ultimate Edition (which is a great game except for the lackluster AI I have played against even though reviews say it should be very challenging). I have also watched some videos of the Galactic Civilizations 3 alpha. I was wondering if anyone moves their ships one hex at a time? Put in other words, does anyone click on each adjacent tile one at a time to move their ships rat
Sorry for not replying in a while but thank you very much! I can not find how to disable antialiasing-gamman control for my ATI card though. I have sent a letter to Ironclad and they said that they would look into it. That's awesome! A company that actually cares about an individual person's problems![e digicons]|-)[/e] Well, once again, thank you.
Hi sinners! Well, I have a few annoying issues with the game. When I have antialiasing enabled (does not matter what level) I get bizarro white pixels flashing at the edges of 3d objects. If I have antialiasing on or off eventually I'll begin to see graphical effects (such as phase jump and nuke effects) disappear. Also I will sometimes get random slowdowns for no apparent reason. Sometimes I will be in a battle and the game is running really smooth and then it
I have played the demo and really enjoy it and I will probably be getting the full version. There is an issue however in the game that only occurs when antialiasing is enabled. It makes white pixels appear at the edge of objects. It does not look awful but is kind of annoying and most noticeable on asteroids (because they are blackish-brown and so it makes the white pixels stand out). Is this natural and if there is some way to fix it could someone tell me how, pl
