I was also thinking anivia might be worth trying to get good with because egg sort of defeats the purpose of most assassins. Having to kill her twice might buy enough time for your jungler to come in and make a play. TP on farming mids has interesting I just love ignite. Every game I don't have it I find myself in a situation that I would of picked up a kill and possibly lived through a fight if I had had it (I supposed this is the bryff mentality of ignite, I guess I have it too)
A few things that have been floating around my head: New season = new ward skin for teams. Racking up points is much easier to do with a 5v5 team since it is 3 on a win versus the 1 point on a win for 3v3 games (no idea why they do this). I do not know how enthusiastic everyone would be about playing 5's again but in the past I have enjoyed it although some games are tiresome. I do not know how interested in playing solo queue I am at the moment but I wouldn't mind tea
I am tempted to learn an assassin or two just so I can play the game at the current diamond meta without feeling like I am doing my team a disservice by picking a farming, immobile champion who doesn't peak until mid->late game (if I can even get there). The alternative is locking in AP malphite every game, I feel I could probably win more game doing that than playing brand or ziggs.

Play against a fizz (didn't get to lane vs him) but he ended up going like 10-3 after starting 0-2 still the same broken assassin. I think I might take a break from this game for a while. So I think I am going to start banning Katarina. I have laned vs her in my last 3-4 ranked games and have lost every time. Not sure if people are just that good with Katarina or what. It is nearly impossible to outplay Katarina late in the game when she can kill you in fractions of a second. Early game doesn't even matter. Sure you can make her life miserable for a few levels but it doesn't matter when she hits 6 and roams the rest of the game. Not sure what her win rate is right now
Started a new sort of a joke team for 3v3's with tenzing and bosshound. So far we are 2-1 but only beat two silver teams and got slaughtered by a gold team. I would like to get our slightly more competitive team back together again so we can earn the new ward. Had some pretty dumb games in solo queue today. One where my Janna was afk for the first 5 or so minute putting my lucian behind on farm and levels (don't think he gave up a kill at all). So the game was pretty much auto
Well Fantasy didn't go well for me this week. Hopefully the addition of a few fanatic players into my line up will help out next week unless fanatic's success was a one time thing with there almost entirely new team.
went 2-1 in placements and am now in Plat I. I am getting fairly discouraged though as the meta mid lane is REALLY starting to get out of my comfort zone. Assassins seem to be really over the top right now and I am not sure how to play against them as my farm mids any more. I had some success with viegar vs ahri today but it was terrifying.
Ofc after 1 day of LCS play I had the pleasure of running into one of those, "I SAW IT ON THE LCS GOTTA PLAY IT" people. Cassiopia top is not good for solo queue, please stop doing it, thanks in advance. Anyways there is quite the mixed bag of players in Plat II right now. There are golds mixed with Diamond II-III's almost every game. Gold players that did well in promos and diamonds that did poorly are often playing together resaulting in some really lopsided match making. I
went 5-5... managed to win another thresh game haha! I had a pretty uncarriable game as ziggs. Jarvan had some nice ganks mid that ended with him getting kills (not sure if I could of finished any of them so can't say he took them) if they were on me I might of been able to get far enough ahead to make a difference but I never did. An AD malphite pretty much won every lane for the other team.
Swan picked me up from the airport when I got back from Hawaii which was on the 9th of January. I recall talking to him another time since then but not this week. Oh and the Elements hype train has hit a wall. The were annhilated by the new Fanatic. I was quick to snatch up there new ADC for one of my alternates; he put up nearly 40 fantasy points in that game. Rekkles got a measly 10. HA
I don't think I have won a game in ranked in recent memory when two people exclaimed that they had to duo bot. Most of the time when people duo bot in my experience it ends up being some obscure adc pick like kalista or a bizzare support and they lose horribly. I think jungler + whatever is the better duo set up because you can coordinate ganks really really well. Like if me and Karl duo'd Karl could just get me fed every game and it would be ez pz LP.
Well I ended the night going 4-4. Not what I wanted but really dumb teammates in my brand game, a fiddle that got way out of control in another. Renekton didn't go so well either. I couldn't kill jayce in lane so we both just farmed and he had a bigger impact in team fights. The annie on the other team that was playing mid completely shut down the akali on my team. Had to win when annie's get really big. Hopefully I can 2-0 the rest of the games.
