I totally understand where Pacov is coming from and can see why he was upset with my pick but I think the important thing is that when I pick GP I am not trolling. Maybe when some one else picks him it is trolling but I actually have a decent amount of experience with him and have had success playing him.
Me picking GP is never a troll. I probably have almost as many games on GP as I do on gragas or ziggs. I mained GP for a while when I started playing and continued to use him for specific counter picks (TF) in other seasons in ranked. I think at one point I was like 15-0 in ranked with GP.
I felt that GP was a very solid pick with our team. We had a strong frontline with amumu and mao kai so I could build pure damage and get away with it. I also liked GP vs Karthus since GP is a lane bully when played mid. We had a very heavy magic damage team comp already with mao, amumu and gragas so I thought the extra AD was a nice touch (my zed is bad and pantheon also crossed my mind when making the decision). My favorite moment was my first real penta kill. I was playing Karthus mid and just died in a 2v2 with my support still fighting 2v1. I killed the Irelia with a Q and channeled my ult while I was dead. I did it to kill the guy my support was dueling but little did I know that there was a 2v2 in the river on top side between the junglers and tops, and a 1v1 in the river on bottom side between the adcs. "i really really really disagree with this statement." I was talking for our group of friends what a "winning team comp" looks like. Not what a winning LCS team comp looks like. So in terms of jungler synergy with a mid lane for us usually revolves around Karl landing a stun and me or whoever following up on it. Coordinating anything more than that is currently above our heads.
Also if we want to have more fun and not take a game seriously I am always down for it but it must be stated prior to being half way through champ select. I am all about going hiemer/leona bot but not when half the team wants to play for real and the other half of the team want to try new champions for the first time ever.

I think one thing that everyone can do, myself included, is if there is a hugely questionable play made by some one or a repitition of a certain mistakes (fighting the enemy with unfavorable odds, warding without help, soloing dragon, split pushing as a support) just make a small vocalization in game like, " I need help warding next time" or " lets not 3v4 again" and then after the game is finished we can critizes our mistakes more and reflect on why the game was lost or why a particular play

Got to play two games of twisted treeline with pacov. One ranked and one unranked. We lost both games but I was pretty happy with our play. Unranked is blind pick and pacov's tryn was hard countered with a lulu/malphite/vi team comp. The ranked game was against an all bruiser team of lee sin, riven and pantheon. I had picked brand early in champ select and against that team comp hes a bad choice. We had a shot to win it mostly because Pacov played well on WK but there team full of snowbal
The mundo was Diamond II solo Queue The Karthus was Diamond IV solo Queue The lulu was Challenger in 5's and also Diamond I solo queue with 90 something league points probably at one point was challenger in solo queue. We should not have won that game.
