They're gleefully, and most evilly watching in enjoyment as they milk every little bit of anticipation from us - and leave us squirming as we wait for it! (Yeah, I'm just /all/ full of conspiracies tonight! They're everywhere!)

Actually - no. Not a bit of evidence points here. I went back through the list again - and the one .logonxp file which is on /your/ list, but is not to be found in the Wincustomize library is: LCARS2.logonxp 117.78Kb A 12/21/2002 10:14:42 PM Nooooow - judging from the sheer number of logons you downloaded which are dated 1/15/2003 - it's fairly safe to say that those would be the ones were refering to in the original email... ... yet! This one's dated 12/2

I also meant to point out that I didn't find the one logon because I hadn't planned on devoting a large portion of my life to tracking down these evil creatures - and the downloaded file name (from the list given by digerati,) doesn't always coincide with the name of the theme itself in the library. *And off in the corner, in the comfy chair next to the fireplace, kthxbye sits there finally relaxing after a long pissy day of job hunting and dealing with the present snowfall scratching his head in puzzlement* Wow, okay. Uhm... yeah. Somehow, I really doubt this. I do. No, really, I do. Now, it just seems you're convinced the problem /has/ to lie here, when in all actuality, every single little bit of evidence, points to anyplace, anything /but/ here. Unless... it truly

Okay, so I'm sitting at home. I'm bored. I've finished job hunting for the day, and I've cleaned the house. I download every single logon from digerati's list. Out of all of these, 1 of them I couldn't find (sorry,) and out of the remaining, 5 of them are zip files: Cheshire, MedalofHonour, stoplogon, StrongholdLogon and XP1_Bindi All of them contain the exact same thing inside - the apropriate logonxp file and nothing else. (Well, if you want to get techni

I feel your pain, Frogboy! Half the letters on my desktop keyboard have long since worn off (and the keyboard isn't even a year old yet,) and both of my notebooks are starting to get that way as well.

Well, you know - only when you're trying to be 'old skool' - ahem. And - works for me Jafo - I'll just conviniently forget to mention that I've installed next to nothing on my notebook and my restore CDs are always right at an arm's length away. I don't want to be killed by an admin after all! Er, I mean... my notebook. That's it. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN

Kosati: I'd found looking up SmartMove on google to be an exercise in futility - there are simply far too many apps or other things named Smartmove out there! digerati/anyone else: I also know I've installed at least 1/3rd of those logons at one time with no ill effects - but, but help that is, since I don't remember which ones. ^.^ <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="ab

Yeah - I figured as much, I even knew the icon you were talking about... I even think I've seen the wall/comment you talked about - either that, or I've seen the same identical comment on something else. :/

AH! I know what you're talking about then. Not really a stand-alone app so much as a feature of MouseWare (at least the last time I bothered with a logitech mouse.) Always annoyed the heck out of me, personally - I always found myself clicking on the wrong things with it!

221 Replies 48,200 Views

So - 'Smartmove' caught these mouseclicks when you were working in another program - and then activated the scumware program as it was unzipped from the logon archive - which means by your own words, this Smartmove was already running when you unzipped the archive? No, you didn't ask for help - you posted a vague, unclear warning about an unknown program in an unknown file - and people are now merely trying to figure out what, when and where. It's not so hard really, you know.

Hard to answer! I've been spending a lot of - time at the computer lately, since I'm job hunting! Hrm... pestering my roommates and being pestered by my roommates is a fave pasttime of mine. Other than that, hrm... Unpacking (#2 priority, after job hunting, lately!) Reading, music, a lot of conversation, games, sitting on the stoop with my coffee, scribbling (my less refined version of doodling.) Yeah, I'm a boring person. =D <A HREF="https://www.wincust

Or just close the tab that page is in, and never visit again. ^_^ But you're right - newbies and such won't know about the little down arrow - and that's exactly what thes people are banking on.

I saw that when I went there to take a look at things on my notebook! It's perfectly useable, but the right edge of the tutorials (well, tutorial, so far? ^_^) gets clipped. I was surprised though! Usually when I hear 'There isn't much there' or something like that, I merely expect a mostly blank index page! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT="Powered by

Gyah. I admit, I've never uploaded anything (my skins and such are well, to be honest, usually pretty... okay, they're crap - I just make them because that's the only way you usually get -exactly- what you want ^.^) but comments like that have /always/ annoyed me - be they something here or somewhere else. 'Needs work'. Is it hard to be a bit more nebulous than that? Sure - anything submitted anywhere will 'need work' - but the question is, if the person making the comment is so smar
