That's the thing though. Since the maps are randomly generated half the time, it would be hard to upset balance. I think this would also add direction to gameplkay, as it would make huge planets with many resources higher priority targets than say a choke point would.

These mods are purely asthetic right? I personally would love to see some more firepower come from the capital ships myself.
Did EA have anything to do with the shut down?
The whole game seems iffy to me. While I have great respect for the company that made the engine the game will be using, I don't have much respect for Lucas Anything. By the way, the engine is called the Euphoria Engine, and it's the same one that GTA:IV uses.
Lets hope so. I also pray they maker more classes. I do remember playing against an Imperial Guard army, and he was fielding about 3 walkers and 2 tanks. You can probably imagine what happened to them against 3 destroyers and a Heavy. [e digicons]:P[/e]
This will have my interest as long as we keep anything from Episodes 1, 2, and 3 out of it completely.
When I read number 4, the first thing that came to my mind wass VALVe and their Steam platform. When you think about it, Steam isn't that bad. Sure the online connection is a pain in the ass at times (running off a generator during a power outage [e digicons][/e] ) but overall it does it's job of keeping pirates at bay while avoiding the necessity to perform a cavity search.
Ugh, I got that thinking it would be similar to Sins, but it's absolute rubbish.
Hey, I've been lurking for a few days and have already made a few posts, so i thought it was high time I introduced myself. My names Mike IRL, I'm 18 and currently attending college to earn a Bachelors Degree in Game Art and Design. I think It goes without saying that I LOVE SINS!!! I am also currently writing up a short essay on my thoughts and suggestions for the game, so once I finish that, I will publish it here and everywhere I can... ok, maybe just here, but it
Remember that the backbone of the Necron army is a crapload of troops. Also, you have to remember the guass weaponry rule on all of the necrons weapons (unless otherwise noted). If you didn't remember to take that into account, the Dreadnaught could have been destroyed for all you know. Overall, sounds like you fared better than I did when I used to play. You should focus more on infantry and only use the monolith on the high-point matches. Another thing to remember is that the necron lord ha
As for updates, what does it mean? Patches? Expansions?. And meaningful? How do we define "meaningful"? As for the rest of them.... I love you Stardock!!
I think meaningful would mean that if there is a critical error, say for example one that causes the game to randomly crash, then it should be the first thing on the to-do list. Not that I'm implying anything, mind you. [e digicons]O:)[/e]<
From my understanding, they announced a fourth installment asside from halo wars. HW is being developed by the guys who did dawn of war from my understanding.
