When you bought the suite,Stardock does provide another alternative DL link for no encryption of Windowblinds skin which meant you don't need Mycolors anymore since it got abandoned.

Afraid to tell you,that registry way is the best way to restore your icons,if wasn't that dangerous,simply making backup of it before you proceed. I myself done that before.

Have you tried Wizard1956's way,especially on deleting "Shell Icons" on registry part?? Normally,it should be back to Windows default icons.

Go to deviantART,it has tons of Yosemite inspired skins for Msstyle,and there is one Windowblinds master skin as iPhone in gallery,but based on your preference you may not like it.

Hey,kiddo. Even you get hold of this skin,you need Stardock "unlock" all of pixeled images to apply which unlikely,considering Mycolors had been discontinued and this skin cannot be sold due to " licensing ",a term that meant an entity ( Harley-Davidson,the company ) whom holds it doesn't want it be sold,let alone exchange/give away whatever words that meant availability.
