Perhaps Advent capitals could just be improved to have good phase missile blocking inherently to give them more strength to stand up in the early game without need to buff or change anything else about the game. Damn we all should have thought about that one! lol. I think that is the simplest solution yet.
Modify the game is the easiest way to reduce the guardians.
I'm talking about multiplayer, mods aren't so popular in that scene for numerous reasons, and honestly the changes made for balance don't effect the single player population to much as the AI is relatively easy to defeat using starbases.
You don't even know which party is in control of the Senate, but you're going to talk about others not having their facts.
there is a divided party in the senate? I thought they all worked for the same masters, the same ones that put that puppet Obama in office (better known as bush 2.0, blacker and a better speaker).
There may be legal issues with it as well.
as long as this is considered fan art and not sold but given freely I couldn't see any legal issues at all. Honestly the X developers should be enjoy the free publicity to be considered a part of the "best of Sci Fi" mod. It seems they are improving the game along RTS lines with X-rebirth, but then it still will be a completely different game and not really a direct competitor creating "unfair competition" between sins
Its just funny haw nooby Saterh is
ooo ahhhh! got me good, i think my heart is bleeding and i'm about to die, that is if I was this Saterh guy. He must be really bad, because I remember that i had pretty much bent over new player and raped him when Daknife came across the map to help defend against my unfed onslaught. Then the monk had just enough time to

I'm a browncoat, and I will pretend that firefly went for 10 years as a successful show just so that I may have peace of mind knowing that some producers didn't kill an extremely beautiful experience. Because if I actually step out of my denial, I might actually want to do something about it. I wouldn't be surprised if the show was cancelled because it was TOO good, in that the other shows on TV might look so bad in comparison that they would all need budget increase

That's the million word question isn't it? lol. Guardian rebalance would be a better use of your time, but its your time. I'll help you out with setting up a test on guardian viability. I would start somewhere along the lines of thinking of reducing the logistics slots/per resource cost to about here and work from there: Resource cost per logistics slot Resource

Well I don't ask you to calculate them, but you do have my goodwill in doing so. I play advent regularly in multiplayer as advent and I am very good at exploiting every small advantage that I can. I am certain I am spot on about the dps increase being more irrelevant in general fleet actions. In the early game advent capitals need more staying power against the vasari kanrak spam. You have no real hope of bringing in support cruisers like both the vasari an

Please provide something to add to the actual discussion about DPS for cap ships since your idea was brought up as a possible answer. Edit:The thread never lost focus and people were still contributing good ideas. As you might have noticed I retain my focus throughout the thread. IF you can provide a response that does not involve personal attacks against me then likewise I WILL RESPOND IN A SIMILAR GENTLEMANLY FASHION. Edit: thank you for your sympathy

Okay well blatant thread takeover here, i should take your advice and just be a happy little forum user. But i'm not particularly happy with your subversive ways, so instead I'll call you out for being a conniving little bitch.
Okay, well since you insist on remaining off the rails in your own thread, I'd like to recommend to all others that posts regarding argument be ignored henceforth, so hopefully we can have a civil discussion.
Get off y

Ah well you can berate me for being hostile, but it is in fact others who brought the hostility to the thread and therefore I fight them for bringing it into the thread, something they deserve to be fought for. I defend myself with a no holds barred approach whether it be physically or mentally, its my personal choice that has proven to have effective results. I don't attack the contradiction, instead I attack the personal attack that comes along with the contradiction(its rig
If you would have posted this, I would have agreed you have a case.
The research i'm referring to was a bit more in depth then a simple calculation. I'm talking quantifying military advantage here, not some misleadingly simple logistics to cost ratio. But now I know, that insta persuasion involving you involves some spreadsheets of easily calculated information. Sareth's persuasion spreadsheet: Vasari are the best race to fu
What about "seventh tier researchable" didn't you understand?
What about manners did you parents not teach you? I'm not a child to be chastised. People in society get so miffed when someone defends themselves because most(85%) have a death wish and therefore see no need to defend their worthless(as they see it) selves. I am not one of those people, so many of you (i'm thinking 85%) will consider me strange. Many things in my life hav

So a character onlined named "The Monk" acting and associated with DT, (A smurf no doubt) played a game vs higgy and I. It went on and on, lost a few players, eventually it was higgy and I vs. Daknife and him. We were consistently whipping their combined fleets ass (beautiful moment where I held back almost all his overseers and subverters with repulse while higgy raped the rest of his fleet) When the guy just warps to higgy's homeworld with NO phase node to speak of.&

There we go, good responses! Adding PM blocking to the guardian's shield projection would make guardians additionally useful in the early game against a vasari cap ship snipe fleet, as well as provide more use for them in the late game due to increased capability against a phase missile unit spam. TEC players rejoice knowing that the advent wouldn't be getting buffed vs their tactics. Reducing the unit cost a small amount would still allow them to come into play fa
not because there is a forum conspiracy to disprove you
Oh I'll do an analysis of all of your and darvins postings just for the hell of it at a later date, and see for myself if I can root out the same person. Its quite easy to make another account, people do such things all the time. I know with great experience the lengths people will go to attack you.
So your response is to attack a well respected member of the community simply for agreeing with something you already admitted to yourself?
Who is he to certify anything? We both have said that guardians are difficult to effectively acquire. I'm curbing both of you here for the reason that popularity contests are irrelevant to this thread, nothing personal.
the guardian is already very cost-effective
I'd love to see some reasoning behind this, especially after you just said that it has:
A. It requires either a Progenitor or Repulsion research to be effective. B. It has a lengthy list of prerequisites that make it expensive to access.
No debate here however that TEC completely owns everybody early on tho.
actually advent tier zero spam is advents effective technique vs the TEC. It usually involves a good fight and is quite balanced. Vasari are weak early game in attack, but in defense the are the strongest. If there are neutrals around them they will quickly become stronger then any of the races quite easily and you will find them very strong in attack. I'm
