I'll be blunt; WC is not a community in itself. It's more a skindatabase with a few community features added. 95% of what makes the community is what's going on in the forums, which is not at all a small thing, it's awesome. So, basically, the community is pretty much unaffected by the outcome of this fund raising. Buying WC subscriptions only affects the 5% of this community that is directly related to access of skins. So, I'm not worried about the future of the community...

The general impression I've gotten from talking to a wide range of "experts" in the field is: If you're mainly going to watch TV, go for plasma, it's more forgiving on defects, and will give you a more comfortable experience. If you want to connect your computer and do websurfing, go LCD, plasma is not accurate enough for a perfect image pixel per pixel. The cheap TVs (discounted or not) use several years old panel technology (I've seen TVs using 5 years old panel

Congrats Steam, on getting another 1000 people of the overall gaming market... Let's face it, linux isn't a gaming platform, and has a long way to go before becoming one. I commend them for pioneering though, it definetely needs to be done to help linux become a viable alternative to windows.

Excellent point Zubaz. I can think of hundreds of reasons as to why internet is bad.... I can also see equally many reasons why internet is good... I can't say for sure what's the right approach... unlimited or restricted access? There are tons of good reasons to do both that has nothing to do with human rights. Or am I indirectly supporting human abuse by doing just about anything the chinese government request?
