still, he has a point, the release is approching fast, all the lore should be on the website. By the way, i am the only french-speaking person that has doubts on the traduction?? i find that taille-tour or tout-père sounds really lame. i hope gpg/Stadock will not release the game with pityfull translations, the lore is pretty cool and original, it would be sad to waste it.

i don't know any successfull multiplayer game (mmo obviously don't count) that doesn't have some kind of map editor. Demigod needs it!
Well, i haven't calculated the exact bandwith usage either, but i also highly doubt Demigod (or any game in fact) needs so much bandwith. There are not so many informations to transfer.
appart for some free demigods, i don't know what the devs have planned, but something similar to SupCom would be cool: 9 monthes - one year of free updates with some new stuff and then a big expansion pack that polishes the game and adds a lot of new things. Forged Alliance was a really great expansion pack: new units; better graphics, better optimisation, a new, far better ballance of every unit...
age of demigod, heh? I am sorry but i respectfully disagree. I am not sure it would be a great feature for demigod: it just involves learning all attacks and place your shields accordingly, plus luck to guess what attack you ennemy will use next. It would add a lot of microgestion to the game, sure, but it wouldn't add depth, just mad learning and clicking.
you are confused, 2 assassins & 2 generals by side (and more soon :) ) Rook & Regulus : light assassins Oak and Sedna : light generals Unclean beast & Torch Bearer : dark assassins Queen of thorns and Erebus: dark generals
In one vs one situations, assassins are more dangerous than general, but when it comes to 3vs3 or more, having a general on your side that provides an interesting aura (speed, regen, ....) is a great asset. the matchmaking system chooses the team-size mainly on the numbers of players available when you start the match, and then chooses a map accordingly. So there is no specific team size in the pantheon: you launch a pantheon match, the system search allies/ opponents a

you are too late to enter the beta, so you will probably receive a key one day or two before the release. But you can also mail the admins to be sure there is no problem.
they are constantly modifying the site these days, probably because they are translating it in differents langages. Being French, i can very often see changes in the main page (and by the way, i think they could do a better translation than 'le tout père a laissé un vide...")
at least the patch code is working pretty well I have been waiting for that update, i hope that we will no longer have to kick everyone when someone has a connection problem.
we will totally hear #27 a lot. And we will probably also see: 28) This game sucks! [Dota/any rts/or even WoW] has [insert cheesy feature that wouldn't add any depth at all to the gameplay here] By the way, there seems to be in this forum a new form of Godwin's Law where Demigod is compared to SC2 and/or DOTA
23. they are all stealing my kills! they should be mine, not theirs! this game is fu**** lame (just heard it one hour ago)
Quoting Ultimeh, reply 6thso bug have been there from beta1 and never got fixed, so we a stuck with a game breaker bug at release I highly doubt they'll release with that, you don't have to be so condesending.
i really hope they won't, there can't be such a bug in a successful multiplayer game (and by the way, i don't remind seeing that kind of bug in any of the games i have ever played)
there was maybe some overreacting here^^, your reply doesn't shock me...
Many times your demigod doesn't do what he is supposed to (either attack or launch a spell). I hope it will be fixed prior to the release, because you can't have that kind of bug if you want to sell a multiplayer game.
@sorry for the gibberish, english is not my mother tongue and i was probably really tired when i wrote that; because it is indeed gibberish... Neverless, thank you for explaining my point: a comparison between Demigod and sc2 is pointless. Back to the real subject, i also think that very often the minions seem totally ineffective and i usually dont use them. But still, 1800 damages for bite! that attack heals the caster, it shouldn't remove more than 1k hp. Mo
search the forums, there is a really recent post regarding that feature. I dunno if it is planned or not, but since there is a need for this feature, i think that if it is not in the release version, it will be added in a near future. Just a precision, i am pretty sure you will not be able to chose your opponent, because there would be some abuses with such a feature.
I live in France and have preordered the boxed edition some months ago. So: 1-yes, if you preorder, you obtain a CE edition, either a digital one or a boxed one 2-The cost will be calculated when you preorder, i dont remember well, but i am pretty sure you will see the cost before paying (anyway otherwise it would be kind of illegal i think^^). Thanks to the euro, it costed me 45€ (the regular price for a game in France) to buy that collector edition and ship it to m
Well, if you want to download it, the release date is international. If you preorder the boxed edition, they will be shipped to arrive as closely as possible to the 14th, so i imagine it is an international launch... btw if you preorder you have some bonuses like soundtracks, demigod theme for your desktop and so on.
It is not really relevent to compare a remake of a rts and Demigod. Starcraft 2 seems more like starcraft 1.1; yes Blizzard has the cash to assure that the game will be as polished as possible but it will not make it even a little original. The 2 games have very little in common, demigod is not really a rts, it is more an action-rpg set in a war background... Regarding the connectivity, we may have an issue there, gpg and stardocks have been really ambitious there, and i don't know if it
DalzK" reply="1" id="2109590"] Not really sure if that counts as synergy between characters - does it?
Yes it does, you counterbalance a weakness of a character with an another. And to talk of Dota, Demigod is a really different game, they have some common bases, but really go in a different direction.
Quoting Frogboy, reply 5That's like saying Sins of a Solar Empire is just training for multiplayer. Demigod has a pretty good single player component. You have both a single player skirmish as well as a single player tournament. Imagine World of Warcraft's Arena/Battlegrounds being you alone with all the other players AI controlled... might be fun for a few games but would get boring very fast. It could provide good training
