The latest post by Frogboy seems to imply that the new Demigods won't be in 1.2. Patch 1.2 will be about adding replay and custom mods. Therefore new Demigods might be in patch 1.3. Lets say each patch is 3 months, so you'll get new demigods around December 7th.

Rook and Sedna are good counters to regulus.
I don't think sedna is OP. She is very good 1v1 and as other mentioned. You don't need to kill her to win.
the bug will get fix in a patch next week, july 7th.
Play custom games.
1. Kill the minion, creeps more and caputring flags. Don't focus on killing towers as it doesn't give you experience. don't die. 2. Play Assassins, they usually do more damage. Especially Unclean beast, he should give you enough damage to take down demigods from beginning to end game. 3. I suck with generals as well so I can't really comment. I play generals just like I do wish assassins. I don't buy any idols.
What annoys me is i'm from USEast. So I join a USWest game and I'm the only one who has a 150ping. So the host kicks me out.
Kinda offtopic: If I have a girlfriend, should I wear a sticker saying 'I have a girlfriend'? or only tell when people ask. Even then, some people might not tell the truth.
I think people should stop putting USEast, Mid, or USWest in the title of custom games. It will limit the people joining and takes longer for your game to fill up. In fact, I stop putting the word USA at all and just host my games '4v4'. I don't mind playing with anyone in the world as long as the ping is under 250. I've been playing with people from Europe everyday and connection is just fine.
Cool, a post from gpg. So are we getting an update Thursday? If not, it'll be next week I guess. Happy 4th of July.
Supcom2 and Starcraft2 reminds me about the Starcraft1 and Total Annihilation from 10 years ago. Both will be around, Starcraft2 will have a community 10times bigger if not more. Even if Gas Powered wasn't making supcom2, the resources wouldn't have gone to Demigod. It seems to me that Demigod has a smaller budget so implementing things like extra demigods, extra maps will cost alot of money and time.
Thank you so so much Dosinho. I got the key and signed up. +1 karma
No random demigod fix yet?
So what is the secret? You can ask once you join, but that places a lot of trust in the host to be honest. You can check Pantheon, which is what I do, but that is tedious, especially if you are the last man joining and everyone wants to launch. Or you can keep a list of host that regularly do premade games - also another route I've taken to.
I check their name at pantheon <a href="http:/
Here is the developer post on random demigod working in test environment: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/357291 I think they do have small production-copy environment for testing. They let us play with it in May with their multiplayer issues. It didn't help much since the multiplayer issue worked fine in their small production-copied environment but blew up production when thousands mo
I think you missed the post where they said the random feature is working in their test environment but not in production. I'm sure they test their code. There are sometimes differences between dev, test, staging, pre-production, and production servers. Or sometimes developers hardcode name or ipaddress so it works in dev and test but fails in production.
I used to think that Stardock needs a demo quick. But then when I look at the state of their multiplayer network now. A demo might just scare away people. Problems with the demo: 1. People with -1 simspeed effecting other demo players who have decent computers. Then majority will think this game is slow as crap. No buy. 2. People downloading, sharing internet with family, bittorrent, or low upload speeds will slow down all the fast connec
It is always great to hear from new players and their experience with Demigod. I'm sure there are hundreds of players just like the OP who will try a few games and never come back. I think Stardock/gpg knows all the issues mentioned in the OP. I think they will eventually fix the problem by having better pantheon/skimish, group joins, or show rankings in custom games. I've been playing since launch and I rarely play pantheon/skirmish. Mostly because long wait
I only crashed once in the 10 or so games I played since 1.1. My theory is that this crash causes everyone in that game to crash. If you are the person who crashes every game, send your demigodlog.txt and dump.dmp file to right after a crash. It'll help them fix this sooner, complaining here won't help much. provide feedback like your computer specs. maybe people with certain videocards makes it crash... <
Cataract is kinda an exception where people can backdoor and steal your portal. Normal maps like prison, zikurrat, leving don't have that backdoor so who ever gets more kills usually wins.
Modders cannot add new models due to the fact that the models use the Granny 3D format and that there is no exporter that any of us can get to put our models in-game. If GPG could somehow release an exporter for us, then you would see custom models working. So, aside from unit/structure/map models,
Can modder use existing models to create a new demigod? Say a giant is a new demigod.
Thanks for having the opengames page back up. I really love it and visit it often. I notice people have mentioned the minimap to be clickable. I think the game is not designed to have the minimap interactive, therefore having it clickable means having the whole minimap redone. Take a look at supreme commander, that had a clickable minimap but it's totally designed on the bottom left like Warcraft3. Demigod is based off of the supcom engine. I rather
Most rts games don't even have stats on a website. Give it some time, it took world of warcraft a few years to make the armory statistic website. We all have to repurchase the same favor item every game but our favor points get refunded at the end of the game. So the favor points keep going up and up.
Is random working now for online multiplayer? I haven't tried yet. I remember learning about this random function in college computer sciense. It's pretty basic 101, I'm sure gpg would figure it out.
What fps do you get? How is your simspeed towards the end of the match. I like to see your performance (fps and simspeed) on a 5v5 on the biggest map (The brothers or Mandala) ------------------------------------------------- On my ati 3650 laptop, I can put medium settings on some small maps but low settings on the big maps.
