Good stuff for sure. You just know it will rock on dual 30" monitors!!! Did we get any sort of official responce on possible duel-screen support? It would be very handy in a strategy game to be able to use BOTH screens as different partss of the UI.
No official response yet. However, I think for those of us that want it should speak up! I for one would love dual monitor support.

Thanks for the excellent responses. I finally decided to go with a Zune. I couldnt pass up the Zune pass. We'll see how it holds up. If I dont like it, then I'm definitely going with the Zen next time. Man, uninstalling Itunes was so liberating :)
The Fog of War is an actual fog? Lol, I think it was a figure of speach, though who knows. By the way stardock, there are already 4 spells and I don't see any involving summoning undead armies. I am seriusly considering with-holding my purchase until you fix this discrepancy. /s
Dev's have already confirmed summoning creatures. I dont know if any of them w

Im in the market for a new mp3 player. I go to the gym on a daily basis and like to hike/bike during the weekend. I also travel alot so it would be ideal to have a screen to watch movies. I've only looked at IPODS so far and this is what I've briefly gathered...I can't stand the new nano model so I think Im gonna pass on that. I was thinking about going with the IPOD classic but am a little leary since it's not true flash memory. Im afraid I would shake it too much while biking o

I can see both sides to the story. The media section of this website is what is supposed to help sell this game. Graphic wise, what they have is ok at best. I personally like the art direction their going for but you cant blame people because they think it looks like a flash game. I think his concern is valid given the information we have to go off of so far. ( EDIT: I dont agree how he worded his post though. He makes alot of assumptions ) I actually play

Embarassingly enough...I purchased and played HOMM: V for the very first time. What a great game! I really hope Elemental's tactical battles are half as good as that. I also played me some Runes of Magic and Plants vs. Zombies :)
In Brad's journal asking what folks think about extending the beta schedule generously, he inlcuded this picture: The filename is SwampLordPaintingFinal. The big thing in the painting looks to me like a very plausible candidate for Geoff the Slug's (single?) parent.
Haha. I thought the same exact thing when I saw that picture!!! Let's hope you're right! Great minds think alike! [e digicons]k1[/e]
At first I thought that this was clearly intended to go up somewhere else and got posted by mistake ;/
I thought so too. It's odd seeing this in an Elemental Dev journal. Ah well...Good read. Nice reminder on what a n00b I am when it comes to programming.

It really depends on how far along you guys are. Part of me would love a longer beta process so the community can give you the best feedback possible. On the other hand, maybe the game is programmed so well that we might not need to have an extended beta process EDIT: OK, ok...if a longer beta process can lead to dungeon crawling and 32 players, I'm fully on board!
For citizen militias, the training system could allow this. The way it's been explained, to make soldiers you take some citizens, give them weapons, and some training. The more training, the better they are. Well if you wanted to make a militia in a hurry and you have a stockpile of swords, what if you hand out the swords and give no training at all? Boom, a sudden defense force of really bad soldiers. Do you think citizens should be more than eye candy on the "zoomed in" map? I loved how in Warcraft 3 you could turn your peasants into a militia. I think it would be cool if Elemental adapted a similar feature with its citizens. Also, how about being able to move your citizens from one location to another? They could turn into caravan icons on the map. If a city capture is invetiable, you could possibly move them to a safer location (ala helms deep). Just a couple of random thought
I don't think there will be micro-expansions for Elemental. We're more likely to follow the Galactic Civilizations path of things where each expansion acts as a chapter to the story and also adds a ton of new features and such.
Good to know! I found out about GalCiv2 when all the expansions were already out. I wish it were the same way with Elemental. I am so impatient and hate waiting! :)

I agree with Wintersong for the most part. I dont mind micro's if their graphics only. Otherwise, I think feature related content belongs in a regular expansion. Hey, Boogie...can we have both?? [e digicons]:D[/e]
