Thanks for the clarification for the uniformed. I've worked for a game company so I am intimately familiar with the publisher/developer relationship and where the lines exist for responsibilities. And please keep the journals coming I for one look forward to them and find them quite interesting, and your writing style appeals to me. I would like to second VividGear's questions, I am puzzled by the lack of GPG's involvement thus far. I understand that there are i
If a desync occurs, the match is already shot. There is not much point in continuing to try playing it as other players won't even be playing the same game. As time goes on, what you see and what they see will become more and more different to the point where (for example) you may see a player alive while another sees him dead, or two players may see opposite sides win the match.
Even more of a reason to just dump the dialog
Server's having problems holding old games in the list for some reason. Sucks...
The lobby server is freaking out. It appears to be holding dupe/ghost games in the list even if they're not available. I would bet that they never designed the game list to have 30+ games in it and it's at least contributing to the problem. Prior to this issue I have never had any memory issues. I hope someone at GPG/SD checks their e-mail to day and resolves this. I'd like to play at some point...
RE: Coupons. I have yet to recieve mine and did in fact buy and register it via Impulse prior to the cutoff of May 10th. Should I give it some more time or contact support?
Brad, I for one appreciate the updates. I would agree with previous statements that the vocal minority is not representative of the collective Demigod community. Unfortunately there is no 'stupid' filter on the internet so we. I would venture to say the vocal people have no idea what kind of work goes into developing a robust P2P system. There are always going to be unknowns and discoveries along the way. I can't remember that far back but my guess is that
First, Happy Anniversary Brad! I am hitting my 18th next month so I offer congratulations, and in some cases condolences :) Seriously though, I'm very new to Demigod so I have a small window of refernce. Prior to the Monday update I was not having much difficutly getting connected it would just take a LONG time, then the Monday 'cluster' update came and blew me out of the water. Tuesday improved things a bit but I still had connectivity problems intermittentl with the

I just want to say thanks for the update and all the hard work the team is putting in. All these mamas boy whiners [e digicons]X([/e] (not in this post, on the forums) fail to realize the level of effort that goes into something like this and instead throw a temper tantrum when it doesn't work, it works for mama I guess they figure they can try it in real life [e digicons][/e] Even with common development libraries that should work on e
I was able to get back in last night after about 30 mins. My guess is that when the game crashes, the server still thinks you're logged in. My bet is that if you tried to login from another PC while you were logged in that you'd get this same 'generic' invalid username/password message. It really needs to be fixed though, at the very least if the crashes aren't getting fixed, then fix the server timeout after a disconnect. This is pretty lame having to wait...
I had another thought after my last post, rather than limit the level editor entirely, allow demo users to create maps but not actually compile them into playable levels unless they have the full version..
I am new to the Demigod community and didn't read all the posts here so I don't know if it's been mentioned or not but another incentive to purchase the game could be a level editor that's only available to owners of the full product. Let's face it, there's not a ton of maps in the retail version, a level editor would be a boon to the community IMO. I would hazard a guess that there's already new Demigods waiting in the wings, perhaps those could be added to the list of reasons t
How do I get my 50% off coupon? I just bought it from Best Buy on Monday, registered it online through Impulse and haven't received any info about a coupon...
