Sorry I wasn't trying to be rude, having been a programmer for a fair while I completly appreciate the fact that dev tools don't need to be user friendly ;) I've got a 'cunning plan' for building the image strips without having to resort to photoshop etc. and it would just have been nice not to have them go through another program to get to the final result. If the encoding code isn't uber top secret could we have that and work backwards? ~SDC~

This tool doesn't seem very user friendly. Is there a spec for the .mdl format (it's not the quake .mdl is it?). That way I could build a tool to do the rotating and compiling all in one. ~SDC~

Since GalCiv went final i've been unable to play for more than a few minutes with the music enabled on any of my three machines. I've had a quick look through the 'support' threads / forums / newgroups and can't seem to be able to find a definative fix. Each machine has a different soundcard (Audigy 2 / SB Live / Ac'97) all with the latest drivers etc. but it doesn't seem to make any difference. I actually imported MOO3 from the US (on pre-order) since I live in the UK. The phrase "insult to injury" comes to mind. Seems a bit harsh since a fair amount of us drengin.net users have been waiting an aweful long time for GalCiv to artificially delay it for another month. Don't get me wrong, playing the betas has been good... and it's no doubt made a better game. Intially I thought it was a good idea, but now on reflection it seems they were just trying to maximise sales of

The way I first read that I thought you'd accidentally vapourised the second planet! Try explaining that one to your superiors. Captain : "Plot a course to section 10,3, past the planet" Pilot 1 : "Course laid in sir" *Main Weapon Fires* Pilot 1 : "Oh dear". Pilot 2 : "Don't worry, i'm sure nobody noticed"

I can't say i've "broken through" the barrier on Moo3 yet. But it seems that after a good while most people are beginning to like it. Not managed anything more interesting that wailing on the turn button yet :( Galciv is much more of the game I expected Moo3 to be than Moo3. But hey GalCiv is ace and i've not even seen the final yet. It's nice that they're fairly different games though not just carbon copies of one another. I'd be mighty smug at the minute if i'd bet on the ho
