i see posts on the newsgroups for the tooltip blinking problem since 2002, yet there is still no resolution? why has this issue not been addressed yet? it's a really horrible bug, and i think after 4 years, it should of been corrected. is there any work being planned to fix this? is there a known workaround for this issue? some help please, as it's driving me nutz LOL

that is true, but i think u forget that, the icon is only showing up when iconx is on, if it's off, the icon isn't there. also, my bluetooth is off, but once u set up a device, u always have that, u don't have to have the device turned on to have the icon there.
i don't have any *.items on my entire drive, i searched all of C:\ because i didn't see anything in iconx program files folder. i do have some icons on my desktop though, so shouldn't those show up at items i assume?
i have tried the tool, i tried it b4 i hit submit post, but i'll go ahead and try it one more time right now.......yep, doesn't detect it, because i've already removed it, but iconx keeps putting it back. if i unload iconX, it's not there.
i would use icon x for doing it, if it was listed as an icon i could hide, but it is not. it's simply not listed, it seems that iconx just ignores the state of this icon, and displays it regardless. i've looked at the above ms article as well, that has nothing to do with the My Bluetooth Places icon. iconx is simply displayin an icon on my desktop, that is not there.
well, i would bet most people don't use bluetooth devices on their pc's. so this would be a bug with the application that should be looked into. so i would like to make sure that support teams see it for future development. yea yea, so i should email it to [email protected], but 9 times out of 10 i don't get a response there either.

so i have all system icons on my desktop hidden using tweakui. but, My Bluetooth Places still shows up when iconX is active. if i turn off iconx, then it's not there as it should be. how can i have iconX not display this icon? thanks

well, just to let u know, i disabled all the tablet pc specific startup stuff, and now the lag is gone, so i'm assuming it was confilicting with one of those. i don't have the time to figure out which one it is today, but if i get some time next week and i can load each idividually and see which one specificaly was causing the problem.

i assumed that, but it seems to happen most often when a webpage is loading or something, and thats not cpu intensive, no network latency here either. fo instance, when i hover over this page, i get lag, but if i minimize this window, no problems.

now with the archon ip theme. just seems to be any ip theme from sdcentral, any ideas?
it happens consitently, and i'm using whateva is hte latest version of sdcentral. which i think actually updated today. let me go and try another one since it's updated today, hold on.....LOL ok, still happens i just tried Rusty Rooster and Archon packages.

nah - LOL, i like the new skins that came with it too much, so i'll just deal with it for now LOL. i don't mind killing explorer.exe a few times a day LOL. maybe there is some log info or something i could pass on to you guys?
well, now it happens with other apps as well, and i have to kill the explorer process to fix it. so i'm thinking it might be more related to wb5 beta.
everytime i click apply in skinbrowser, sdcentral reporst an error 'there was an error downloading or applying the iconpackager theme. theme manager will continue applying the other elements of the suite' very confusing, i'm not applying a suite LOL. but if i goto the downloaded file, double click it, it works just fine. any ideas? thanks

i'm going to uninstall now and re-install, the weird thing is, i quit sdcentral, it quits, there is no process running, but only happens with sdcentral, so i dunno
everytime i lauch sdcentral, it freezes the desktop. like, if i minimize it, it's still there, even though it's not really there, like replacing the wallpaper. or any other window or menu that is on the screen when i remove it, it's still displayed, even though u can't interact with it. any ideas on this?
2.19 does fix the issue, but makes it work really bad with dual monitors. as in, u can no longer maximize any window. i have since disabled secondary monitor until a proper fix is made.
i have this same exact problem, when it the mouse starts to hang, and then can't double click and stuff. i use the wireless intellimouse explorer 2.0. suckkage man, LOL
