in FE due to the locked camera angle
There's a togle in the options for that bro. It's the "snap back" one. Un-check it and you have your free cam back, you just can't zoom in quite as far as before. I'm sure that's easily changeable in XML though. Still, not having tried to change it yet I wonder if when I do and I zoom in closer are my wandering peasants still there in my cities?
Yes, that is true, RavenX. But you are forgetting that there are also many, many traits that give you spells. These are very important. I see only three or four melee abilities, but there are I think more than a hundred spells. Certainly we can go on and on about how spell gameplay differs from melee. That isn't really the point. The point that is important, in my opinion, is their relative strength in game. And currently, melee i

On. Now add a link/button to the tile editor and let us design our own buildings for our factions please :) . Also, I notice on the world map I can't zoom in so close as to see my peasants anymore. I miss that. Seeing people walk the streets of my cities was nice.
Spell damage isn't listed on the stats page for whatever reason. There are however many talents/perks that add +25-50% spell damage, and some equipment that does as well. There's not really any difference between melee and spell damage, for melee damage you pick +strength talents and gear, for spell damage you pick +spell damage talents and gear. The fact that it's not int talents doesn't really change the fact that you ca

Fortunately, she has backups of it all, but that's not the point. Her entire group has b

I checked all the stats listed and none of them increase spell damage according to their tool-tips. Of course, it also doesn't say any of them directly affect mêlée damage either, but lots of other things like abilities do. It may be that the problem we're seeing right now is that there's lots of things that boost over-all mundane damage or add damage types, but not much of anything aside from shards and the occasional magic item that directly

Just out of curiosity what programs do you guys have running in the background? It's true E:WoM did have some memory issues, but for me I only hit them when playing on insanely huge custom made maps ( I also have 6 gigs of RAM). With as often as it's happening to you guys it's making me think there might be a conflict with something else you may have running. Have you tried turning off any active virus blockers and such that eat into your active memory? Norton as well a

The FE Beta is incredibly stable over-all. I have had 3 CTD's though and all of them have been when I hit "Save" after I designed a unit. After it happened the first time I've made a not to save the game right before I try to design a new unit. It reloads and works just fine so it's not corrupting the save game, but I do have to re-design the unit and save the design again. Not sure if it's creating a crash dump file or anything but if it is and you want it or the save

New 8 Bit intro should be a pixel for pixel remake of MoMs only with Scott's face on the face of the attacking Wizard and Brad's face for the guy in the Wizard Tower. I think I'd pee myself laughing. For those who aren't old enough to remember the MoM intro, here you go :) . Just imagine Boogie and the Chief in this...LoL.

Indeed the praise is well deserved. FE is turning out GREAT. As a Veteran of WoM though I do have a few small complaints I hope will be addressed before the release build. Here are my suggestions. 1. Put the Dynasty System BACK IN, please. The Dynasty System was one of the best things about WoM. It made WoM stand out and it's absence is definitely missed by many I think in FE. It could use a few tweaks from it's iteration in WoM. It shouldn't be used as a General Fac

I thought it was very decent. I just played through it today. The only thing that bugs me a bit about it is How Much everything looks like WoW. Honestly, I expected more from Todd Mcfarlane. Seriously, graphically the game could be a WoW clone. Weapons, armor, textures, you name it and you've seen it in WoW. The few graphical errors that show up aren't that bothersome, but, it's disturbing because on a game that looks almost exactly like another game it should run as smooth

Multiplayer would be cool I'm sure, and if they add it later on down the road I'm not going to complain and I'd even be interested in playing a good multiplayer game. The thing to think about though, at least in my opinion anyway, is that this is a 4X strategy game. Traditionally, there aren't a lot of 4X games that are multiplayer or even designed to suit multiplayer. Yes, I know there are some that are, I don't need examples, and yes, I know that

That's a Lot of great news right there :) . Two questions if I may Frogboy. 1. Have there been any changes in the ways modding is done between WoM and FE? 2. For us modders, if we start modding now with the beta version of FE, will there be a lot we'll have to change to make mods work for the full release? I understand that's based on how big a mod would be, just a ball-park estimate if you can. Mostly I mean will the file structure and coding ch
