Update on Object Desktop App Develepment? in Object Desktop blogs WinCustomize Forums

Ok, first of all, i know there has been quite a lot of work done on windowblinds and deskscapes, however i was wondering if they had been any progress as yet on some of the Aplications that were talked about over the winter when OD10 was released things like a right click replacement, a new version of windowfx that was supposed to take some of the new graphic enhancements of 7 back to vista and xp and rebuilding Desktop x. thing is though, would you really want to be constantly looking at e-mails and other work related stuff all the time? as has been said when a laptop is off, its off with something that is connected permanently such as a smartphone or an i pad there may come a time where there is always something that has to be done and free time goes out the window

Even though i have only made 1 dx widget, it gave me hours of fun designing it and making sure all the graphics worked right, that the scripts for visibility etc worked. I wanted to do something different, think out of the box and thats what i did. Its so much easier then doing a blind, and is versatile in its features other then a wb which is just basically a background. if you can get it installed, try right clicking the executable and selecting properties >compatability and set it to run in compatability mode for windows vista, i have used this a few times to run software in 7 that aren't updated to work eg Tune up utilities 2009

Ryat you are using an os that is over 8 years old in trems of technology thats like stoneage also its more appropriate for xp users to upgrade then it is wor vista users as i said xp will be dropped from support in a few years

in that case there is no reason why you shouldn't upgrade if you don't even have to pay for the os itselfperticually as stardock and other manufacturers will stop supporting xp in the near future

Murex, the e-mail with the download links and serial etc, gives 2 downloads, one is mycolors, the other is a zip with the wb, ip etc packed in it. use that 2nd link and then extract the files

My colors will be removed from ODNT and is uncompatable with 7, however the individual themes themselves can be found as the second download link when you get the coformation e-mail as a zip file. in the zip file is the wb, ip and any gadgets that come with the theme. as for things saying not activated, right click on the app in impulse and see if there is an option in the right click menu called re-activate. Clicking this should activate the apps again.
