I didn't read everything, way too many pages, and I'm not worried about what the conversation turned into. I' not trying to prove or disprove God. If this has already been said sorry. I'm just adressing the OP. If you take the perspective of pagan religions with tons of gods and godesses that represent different parts of nature you are right. With today's monotheistic religions that isn't true. In today's world science has replaced those pagan religions of tryin

I think thats right, because they are making halo wars or whatever (not a huge fan, halo is fun, I'll admit, but by no means deserves the 10's everyone threw at it)
It is George Lucas's policy to allow fans to do whatever they want with Star Wars as long as they are not making profit from their work.

jjandrah I actually think about that every time I play Sins, and every time I realize I could never be a real general because I wouldn't be able to give the orders to kill that many people.

Combat frigate : An heavy frigate that is meant for the front line, something that is tough, can dish damage and don't need to be replaced all the time. Reason : I find the basic frigate to die way too quickly to be useful in later game. Battle cruiser : A cruiser that has the firepower t

I might ditch it for something more gothic.
Although I agree it looks more sci-fi, I think it is fitting. When I look at it it looks powerful and demanding like a demigod. While a more fantasy style font would look more elegant and safisticated. With it you would lose some of that power behind the idea of a demigod.

The explosions are a little overdone though, I think They don't really sound like the in-game explosion sounds, more like they were touched up a bit. Rest is great
Who knows, maybe in the final version of Entrenchment they touched up the sound of the explosions.

I automatically hate steam for the same reason I hate Ipods/Itunes, Google, Microsoft, Adobe, and every other company or service that has such a huge lead over every other option. It isn't because they suck, it is because I don't trust them. If they have that big of a market lead I can't trust them to do what is right for the user. I automatically assume they are going to say, "Screw the consumer we have 90% market share, and 90% of those people aren't smart enough to know we are screwing the

Sometimes the only way for something to take off and become viable is for a big timer to take a risk, and make something for it. That is the situation Linux is in. Unless someone is willing to take a risk it is never going to take off as a gaming platform or even a common household OS. It is going to take a Valve, Epic, Bungie, or any studio/publisher that has a huge following to say to itself, "No matter what we are going to make tons of money off of this game, we should make a Linux version

The only way to limit piracy is by doing things that will promote buying the product, and don't do anything that will cause people to pirate like DRMs and over priced software. If EA, Ubisoft, and every game publisher got rid of DRM piracy would go down because it takes away the one motivation for probably a large percentage of piraters. As well I believe if publishers took a more "episodic" approach where instead of making one full game they split the game into 3 parts, and sold them for 1/3
