A Quick note about homeworld not many of the guns had turrents that needed to track so the processing power needed for turrent tracking was fairly low. As for turrent tracking in Sins I supose its doable as long as the number of ships with tracking turrents is low. I sugest that only capital ships and posibly flak friggates get tracking turrents and as in homewold only have the turrent tracking show at close range. I find the Vasari ships to be the strongest and Advent ships weekest. The fact that advent ships have lower cost makes up for this. Also Advent ship + Phase missles = Space junk This seems due to the fact that phase missles phase past sheild mitigation and the Advent rely verry hevily on this. As for why vasari foces seem strongest i think this is due to the reintegration ability of the Ravastra Skirmisher and Skarovas Enfocer. These to ship types seem to t
[quote]You know what comes to my mind when you say flack? Did anyone ever see a spaceship fight on Battle Star Galatica? There is basically a shield of bullets around the battlestar, and if a fighter or anything really goes in that wall of led it dies real hardcore. What do you guys think about flack range being much shorter, say only a little more than the fighter/bomber range, so maybee a few could get shots off, but if the fighters are dumb enough to go in they die, fast. Then ch
My least favorite to play with has to be the Antorak Marauder. Its barely capable of combat its non ultimate abilities are all hard to use efectively and the autocast AI for its abilities is totaly stupid. The only truely good thing it has going for it is base speed witch is fairly fast for a capital. The Only thing that keeps it from the scrapyard is its stabilize phase space ultimate ability. If its going to become a decent ship it needs better normal abilities.&nb
More wepons on ships is a great idea I am always for more eyecandy but damage per second should stay as it is to prevent balaceing issues. Lots of dps mods have a detrimental efect on the game makeing counters inefective or makeing certain types of ships lack a good counter entirely. The real armor idea has merit but I think the idea is that light wepons are being aimed at gunports, hager bay interiors and other&nb
Its not the abilities that make a capital ship good or bad but how and when they are used. The real thing holding some of the abilities and therefore ships back is the dumb autocast AI. The best example of this is probly the Vasari Marauder. Phase Out Hull: Autocast AI uses this whenever a enemy comes within range regardless of what it is. Also the short cool down often causes the AI to cast it on multiple foes
