I checked Kanniebaal's post. I have a question: How noob a developer can be to make such a huge mistake? This is not a bug. this is something MISSING from a map. Jesus christ.
Technically it's not "missing from the map" ;). Objects like the flags are spawned depending on the game mode.
Well, -Sorian-'s blog entry suggests, that the AI can indeed pick the new Demigods, even if you can't. thats a bit stupid.... AI cant give feedback...
Well, it's not about just the AI. Once patch 1.2 is out, you'll generally be able to play against the new Demigods, be it against the AI or against human players who may use them (only Stardock members in the Beginning, then some RTP users and then all users).
I don't think that Demigod sold particularly well, especially given the connectivity issues at release, mixed reviews, and slow pace (and amount) of additional content released.
Well, Frogboy is at least frequently telling us that people are still buying Demigod "like crazy" (which I guess he means in relation to overly popular games like Modern Warfare 2 for example ;)). Judging by that Demigod seems to have considerable success.
Long wait times for games contribute to a lot of people doing this.
Well, at least on dgstats, all players that are waiting in a Lobby will also be counted as "in game".
I secretly hope that the random algorithm that gave us 2 TB last night will dish out the new DGs accidentally ! And for those that can't tell, yes I realize that is highly unlikely since SD will have to 'associate' your account to the new DGs on the back end; but one can hope for an error in the code.
Well, -Sorian-'s blog entry sugge
WOW i did not know that. nice catch pacov! I guess i should play a little of pantheon he he.
It was actually Kanniebaal's catch ;). And it was actually 3 weeks and not just one :D.
+ no capitalization and lame abbreviations.
I think your keyboard is broken.
No-one's on anymore, not in the after-work hours anyway. Here's the daily routine, some time after work: Load up DG Bring up lobby See 2 games, both Russian hosts Click Refresh 3 times Sigh, close DG and go do something else
If every australian would do that, no aussie game would ever be created ;). You have to simply host a game.
Great, but now they are Games like 2vs3,...
That should only happen if one player drops out during the connection setup, after the successful matchmaking.
btw.
Skirmish isn't coming back. It was barely used. We will continue to look at ways to improve Pantheon over time.
This may not a good argument, imho. If it was the other way around, i.e. if we had only Skirmish instead of Pantheon, I think more people would play Skirmish than they would play Pantheon. When we had the choice more people played Pantheon simply because it looked more prestigious. I am glad that Stardock has improved and will continue
I know a lot of my friends are wary of playing any game online because they know they are likely to get dominated so badly by people that play online all the time. So, my theory is that many like the idea and the look of the game and buy it to play the single player but never dip their toe in the deep water in case it gets bitten off! Not that I've even been able to get any RL friends to buy DG.
Well, tell your friends that they can simply host a game for new players :).
Also is it possible to disable certain game type/map pairings? Currently in fortress mode dark doesn't have a valor flag on Zikurat and it's a pretty big disadvantage. The correct flags are all present on other modes on Zik.
I am guessing this will be fixed in 1.2 :)
Yep, thx, works again :)
I have the same bs here.
You just played a game though and your record shows that you have played Pantheon before ;)
I am wondering what caused this, and if SD knows about this problem??
Yes, they know. Some of us already got a response from Stardock support.
Did you guys configure your routers according to your ImpulseReactorOptions?
Nice find :)
I have a suggestion for the matchmaking system. Currently a lot of 1v1 are happening because there is always a lot of people in the queue on just one side. When someone joins the queue on the other side a 1v1 is made almost instantly. Maybe the matchmaking should (also) work like this: If any of the following match ups are possible they should only start after a certain amount of time, e.g. 5v5 - instant 4v4 -&nbs
Hehe, well I got an answer 26 hours after I sent it in ;).
What do you mean with "it doesn't account for the start bar in Windows 7"?
Yeah, still not working for me. I got a response a few days ago that it will probably be fixed soon. Hopefully at least some time next week.
