I could make a lot of explanations as to why I don't want to see this but I think I will keep it simple and just ask politely that you don't include that in the game.
I love the way you are talking about this. That something is available means it's forced upon you.

Each power in a sense functions as a spell, in tha

You don't even need a bonus to stats, just to effects. You could use essence a multiplier in pretty much anything the Sovereign does. This is what I though Essence was going to be when I heard Brad talk about and I loved the idea.
quoting post Q: What is Stardock’s position of Elemental’s multiplayer? A: Elemental has multiplayer. To ensure that it is robust, we basically threw money at the problem (i.e. set up servers around the world to just host the game) I find this interesting. I'm curious why this was done (and hopefully Brad will be nice and comment). With a game like Elemental where latency is an extremely low prior

So far I haven't seen any evidence of this in the betas or discussion of that here in any of the journals. I think it would be an excellent addition if possible. In Age of Wonders you could travel under mountains or through a ruin and end up at a different part of the map. This was great for confusing the AI (sorry Brad). Anyway,

I mean, yeah, Dragonheart was a lame movie overall, but The Never-ending Story has my vote for being one of the worst movies that I have ever had the misfortune to see, and Falkor should loose some points just for being in it. Not to mention the fact that he doesn't even resemble a reptile in any way, and looks more like the result of some bizarre cross-breeding experiment between a dog, a Doctor Suess creature,

Should be "prefers,"...My english skills have always sucked, so please to explain my error here -- I see this question as 'who is doing the preferring' -- drakes ('drakes prefer'), or species ('species prefers')? As I see it it's drakes doing the preferring isn't it then 'drakes prefer' and not 'drakes prefers'? What am I missing?
&nbs

In a thread on the general board I mentioned the idea of Sovereigns being able to create a licensing system for the wandering adventurers. This was done by placing a tax office next to some sort of adventurers guild type place. That method may not be the best way to accomplish this, but my example of a way for why it would be cool to have buildings be able to modify more than one adjacent type of building had me thinking how useful the idea is. IDEA. A licensing

I was always assuming that you've been asked to be married. A check against charisma only is horribly limiting. Ugly/Surly sovereigns can't build a dynasty?
