Also, perhaps this should be a new thread but: Post game chat, please? To make friends, to discuss what went right and wrong, and so on? (And perhaps this is me, but how do you team chat in the game? Is it automatic? I find it strange that the chat is only visible if you yourself press the button to chat... so if someone says something, you might easily miss it.)

For anything above 3v3 games, it can take quite some time wainting in the lobby for other players to join. So, during that time, it would be very good to be able to talk to your other team mates only, to discuss strategies and demigod selection. I suggest a /t or /team command in front of your message, to color it in your team's colors and only have your own team see it. What do you think?
The small window in the bottom right screen that's always reading "connection info..." should say something useful instead. I know that clicking on it brings up a detailed connection information display, but why isn't that first window then a button in the Impulse window (shift-tab)? Right now, as it is designed, it doesn't read as "click me"... it reads as "I want to say something useful, but instead, here's a default text that doesn't give you any information at all".

Actually, I can't use the Impulse chat from Impulse either (says connection refused) but here's what happens in Demigod: I press shift-tab to get the menu, but if this is during the intro, I get no mouse cursor (even though it's clearly active). I press chat and get the window and type /channel demigod... and nothing happens... nada. I am able to connect to Stardock irc via Mirc and Impulse was able to download Demigod, and also, I was able to play the
DirectX can easily be emulated these days, with Cider for example. But I personally will not buy such a product (call it philosophical reasons).
Yes, and that is why you do a port and that is why I suggested they hire the i5works team. World of Warcraft relies on DirectX in XP, but for OS X it was ported it to OpenGL, so that is not a problem. The problem might be their Impulse online platform, though... depending on how that is constructed...
Yes, modern Macs are able to reboot into XP/Vista, or even run XP/Vista in a window under the OS X desktop, but the first option cuts you off from all of your Mac apps and the second option produces quite a bit of overhead (and both options makes you feel... unclean). So, I'm wondering now if there is any chance that Elemental will see a Mac version? Also, I'm not talking about cheating with Cider as EA does (it's so much like option two above), but rather a proper port like f
