Those crashes occuring on connect attempt are known and should be resolved internally for the next update.
Thank you for the reply. Although, I have one up there in the thread which I think resulted in a win not being recorded in my profile... it crashed when the game ended.

I don't know how these tower spamming rook players do it, because when I try to, 75% of the time, if not more, I get a red fading text saying "aborted" when I try to place the tower. My guess is that this is down to a very picky collision detection, but it wastes so much time that I am filing this as a technical issue, because surely the game could move the tower an inch or two to a space that's free instead of cancelling the action?

Thats probably got something to do with the Beta part
I've had this happen to me, and seen it happen to others both yesterday and the day before, so that's not the fault of the beta patch, and apparently, accordig to this thread the beta patch doesn't fix the issue 100% either, but it's a start.

Renevent, we don't live in a black and white world. You can't possibly stay put on that high horse, unless you act like a very young Siddhartha. For example, if you own a cellphone, know that some of the materials in it were brought from countries where people methodically rape women and commit genocide in order to, amongst other things, gain control over the raw materials. If you ever have thrown away a plastic bottle, know that there are floating continents of the stuff in t

Wow, two angry, inflamatory and demeaning replies on two separate occations to one of my posts? That's some heavy duty bitterness you have there. I hope you're not taking it out on your pets. I'm beginning to wonder if GPG employed a rock, paper, scissors strategy when creating the Demigods... like, UB takes Regulus, Regulus takes Rook, Rook takes UB? But they seem pretty tight lipped about their balancing strategies...

There are (at least) three threads on this forum asking how to pause the game: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/348845 http://forums.demigodthegame.com/347173 http://forums.demigodthegame.com/348715 I myself had to look up one of those threads to find out how to pause. Why is the pause button not enabled by default during singleplayer? It seems very counter intuitive.

I wasn't aware that there were this many UB threads before I made mine (I mostly saw the Erebus complaint threads before). Anyway, as I said in my other threads, I consider UB to be so broken that I leave the lobby whenever I see anyone playing him. Hope Stardock/GPG responds to all these balancing complaints soon!

But in the 1v1 Pantheon game, it was definetly a different name. I know people want to punish quitters, so until the UB is rebalanced, I've decided to simply not play any Pantheon games at all, and

I have another thread on this (sorry), but I had to comment on this "defence" of the UB:
UB cannot take damage for beans early on. Seriously. Everyone's saying that Erebus is overpowered, but how about that annoying dog? I've encountered him in two games now, and both games I had to QUIT because the game was not only futile, but NOT FUN. Here is how it goes down: The bloody UB wears me down to about 50% hp, then spits on me and goes back to killing mobs. I die from the poison. Sometimes he just spits on me, then goes away... comes back later, spits, goes away. Third spit kills me. There is no

I thought this game was very difficult to learn, and did not like it at all, initially. A tutorial would be nice. And some hints that strongly advise you to open the skill box, look in the store and upgrade your keep, because I wasn't aware of those the first time I played, and then when I did open one of them, the number of options were overwhelming.

Rather than a list, I would suggest a number in the summoning symbol. The trouble is, there already is a number in the summoning symbol, but it doesn't seem to represent the number of active minions. I haven't been able to figure out what it is, because it doesn't go down when you summon new minions either... I do hope the boxed version ships with a manual. :(

I personally loathe games which have units that can take control over your own units. It just feels cheap. I mean, if your own units gets defeated, that's your fault, you should have planned better. But to build your own units, just to have them being taken over by someone else... that's a game mechanic that I've always felt was... well, cheap.

If you have made friends via Impulse, or perhaps even are a part of a clan, it would be neat to be able to reserve spots in your game for your friends. It would perhaps also be nice to let people form teams to join games as well, so for example three players join a game at the same time, and are guaranteed to end up on the same side. Also, for hapless players joining a server with an established team on one side, there should be some sort of visual indicator warning them about

The game records damage dealt, demigods killed, buildings killed, deaths and healing done. Hopefully Stardock/GPG records all this and compares it to the ranking players list. After a few weeks, if a pattern emerges, Stardock/GPG will be able to tell what is OP and what is not and make the appropriate changes.
