Out of curiosity, how noticeable of a performance boost does an SSD offer if you only keep the operating system on it? I'm not familiar with half of the abbreviations you've used, but I share your sentiment and will look into it when I have a system that actually includes that stuff. It's the same with manufacturers making mice that have side buttons that are positioned horizontally, instead of vertically, like anatomy intended. It can drive you nuts.

I'm going to keep clear of Creative this time, since I discovered that the Soudlbaster Audigy that the current PC came with has lower recording performance than a century old integrated Realtek audio adapter from the back-up PC. I actually do daily video editing, and a 5 year old rig that hasn't been treated all that well still does the job. Sadly, in order to get it to function with video files of higher quality, ones that I can edit in real time, I have to recode the video at a lower quality, edit it, and then replace it with the original. HoMM 2 is GOD!!! Finished Deus Ex H+, finally. The story structure, endings and absolutely no closure when it comes to 90% of the characters is by far the worst part of the game. Especially the story structure, that won't let you circumvent, alter, or muck about with events like you used to be able to in the first game. Still, the gameplay and atmosphere are good enough to make me ignore that.
