Weird things happen with the population when conquering towns. I understand that the population cost/new improvement increases with each one built, but when conquering a new town, it just skyrockets. It counts the preexisting ones from the conquered towns as newly built. I end up just razing them, to save me the hassle.

Guardian Wind- Tactical spell that gives all your allies a bonus vs missile attacks. I know it's the exact same name as in MoM, but that's the point. Also, new ideas for the level 2 unit thing: Battle Bred, War Baptism, Be Prepared, Ready for Action.

I'm going to bug you with another question now. Is it possible to assign several effects to a spell that take place alternatively or at the same time depending a dice roll/percentage. Sort of like Chaos Channels had in Master of Magic. Like, or a spell that deals a variable damage to the enemy, and that also has the chance to backfire.

I figured it would be a bit too much, but I can still dream about it. Theoretically though, when you select a spell for casting, can the action be intercepted and directed to a panel where you could select the variation of the spell? Or maybe not even that, just adding the extra spells with the clear type specified would also work, like copies as you mentioned. Although it wouldn't be as immersive. There has to be a way to make it seem like they aren't different spells, but variations

I really like your ideas, and if I could add one of my own: Underpowered and overpowered spells. The concept was originally made for a D&D-ish game, but the basis can be applied wherever there are spells, it also ties into the intelligence requirement implemented as a desired amount, instead of a mandatory one. In essence(not sure if this counts as a pun), when you have to little intelligence, or if you just don't want to cast it a spell at full potential, you co

Reminds me of the time I had to do 84 daily shows a month. I was not a happy camper. Burned out after eight months, gave it another go, crashed in flames in 4 months. I am now creatively bankrupt, and feel like 10 years older.

More importantly, Sony Station is up and running, so we can play Pirates of the Burning Sea again. And we get free stuff. Free stuff is always nice, especially since they really didn't have anything to steal from my SOE account. I didn't even have my name on it.

Reminds me of Nocturne, top down, same engine as the Blair Witch games, it was made by the guys that did Blood Rayne, it actually has a character that may or not be Rayne's sister. Too bad they didn't make a sequel, the way it ended sort of needs one.

I'll put this as bluntly as I can. In 1989 my country's government shot it's people in the street and blamed it on terrorists that no one saw, no one found and no one heard from again. In 1991, intellectuals were protesting against the temporary government trying to become a new dictatorship. They were branded as Nazi sympathizers by the government and clubbed to death by miners, in the streets under the cheering of the ignorant crowd. The president then thanked the miners for the

When I played Elemental on my old X1950, the fan speed really took off when the engine was turned on. I was a bit paranoid, so I played with the cloth map on at all times, that may help if you're not certain if you have sufficient cooling. Also, in regards to the 8800 series, League of Legends burned mine, they weren't the most reliable cards ever made, especially not the gas guzzlers at the end of the run.

I really hope they get this sorted out and everything ends well. One of my favorite MMOs, Pirates of the Burning Sea uses the SOE authentication servers, and has been down ever since this debacle started. That's just not fair. I was going to raise money to buy a duck with a hat to follow me around while I swashbuckle. It's stuff like this that really makes me lose faith that big publishers will stop treating costumers like potential criminals. The paranoia

My guess for one method, building a ton of units, have the AI do the same, set them on auto-explore and hitting the end turn button really fast until the game screams to stop.

I keep meaning to finish that story I started in the Elemental Army, since the rest of it relates to the map. Well, it's mostly a pun on some of the names, and the shape of the map. One thing I haven't got yet, why does a lake and a river have the same name, Gandru? Somewhat related to that. Does anybody know how I could use the map editor to overlay an image that I could "color" over it? I keep meaning to make the full map of Elemental and the one

2.5 million per year? The minister of transport in my country (which has no roads), embezzles that much in a week. It's a bit hard to believe that a country that still has some resemblance of an economy can't scrape that together. This is just sad. What could be more important than the search for life on other worlds? The quest to prove that we aren't alone, that somewhere out there, there's someone else reaching out across the stars, searching for the answer to the sa

Heavenfall is right, even if you were to try and change all references to spells and other things, it would take you a very long time and figuring out how to get to some deep rooted stuff would probably be more complicated than it's worth.

Aw great, now my computer's going to point out that I have a large nose every time it boots. Still, at this rate my computer will turn into GLaDOS by the time Windows 12 rolls out.... wait. I just counted them, Windows 7 is the ninth at least.
