Actully I would like to see non-humanoid aliens as the bad guys. Something or I don't know TOTALY alien. and I sure hope these aliens DO NOT SPEAK ENGLISH like every other planet in 3 galaxys seem to do. I love all the SG series but this is the one thing I really hate about them.
1. non humanoid aliens as the main bad guys wouldnt happen simply because of cost. having puppets or cgi would be massively expensive, compared to a bunch of 'extras' 2. the p

im honestly more inclined to add a weak EMP than an offensive weapon... i mean, you dont want to fight, you want to run away and stop them chasing you, so...
anyway, my fave ship (other than starfox) is this tie fighter from blue harvest.
haha! YES!! ftw!
it doesnt take 5 credits from you, you just lose the chance to make 5 credits while you trade ship respawns.
omg, i lost the ability to buy LUNCH because my trade ship was destroyed!!! holy cow is it really 5 credits? because thats pitiful... if you really felt a pinch when trade ships were destroyed or trade routes interrupted, then id talk about defending them, but as it is?
hey guys, im not sure if you know this but i found a pretty big bug in the advent... sorta... i was playing the celestial bodies map called Sirius Oddesy, and in that map you are assigned either Advent or Vasari, regardless what you choose, so i put both me and the other player on TEC (just to test it out) and the research topics were all over the joint. basically, i would have lets say 6 labs, and what would be a lvl 5 tech wasnt researchable until lvl 7, and it even
The Romulan SB looks fantastic, although a bit small. i know the warbird is a massive ship, but Federation SB's could encompass a ship as large as a warbird entirely within itself (depending from which angle you look at the door from i guess, but still) i know it looks really cool, but it looks to me like its sized more like an outpost or Forward Command Center than a full blown starbase... also, im sure its not possible, but to see a ship dock with a structure in Sins
I just saw life. Did Matt kill himself at the end? It looked like he was in the broken shuttle and I coulda sworn I saw some blue gust fill it up
no, that was just the reflection of the blue slipstream outside the ship, though i can see how you might have come to that conclusion i dont know about America, but in Australia the next episode is being aired in two weeks because of something you guys are showing next weeek instead of SGU. AND THEN! as though it
except that military ships were intially used to defend civilian vessels from predators, they later evolved to have attack fleets and defense fleets for the purpose of taking out the enemys civilian vessels or stopping the an enemy fleet to do the same but many naval vessels today (including the US and other larger countries) are still purposed towards the protection of civilian vessels
except also the scale and damage potential of sins is much greater than that of a si
new capital ship? ive never seen it yet so you will have to show me a picture.
if you go to the front page on www.sinsofasoalrempire.com there is a screenshot of the new diplomatic relations screen in the game. you might have to right click and save it to your computer to see the whole pic, but once you do, have a look at the contruction bar down the bottom and it clearly show
that loots alot like the new Diplomacy Cap ship... im looking forward to it very much because it looks real mean =)
i have to agree, it would seem no matter what (despite dirty sanchez' efforts) there are always losers in online multiplayer. i mean, they are dicks in real life, why not on the web? the only thing i can think of is IC should implement a system where if you want to boot someone you need a consensus of 1/3 or 1/2 or the people in the lobby to boot. its not fool-proof, but if half the people there dont want to play with you enough to boot you, its a good bet its not going to be fun to p
and how is flak going to do anything? they arent even capable of being utilized they go where they damn well want to. And flak wont stop a light frig or bigger smash it. It might get lucky once and awhile and heavily damage a single SC but it surely wont stop it from being destroyed.
flak wouldnt be designed to stop a lf or larger. its like a speedboat trying to fight off a naval frigate with 9 mm handguns... howev
So, i saw the news that the Diplomacy Beta is out today (monday) If anyone has installed it yet, im wondering if it will overwrite Entrenchment or if it will install seperately so i can play the beta then continue with Entrenchment and the mods i am using Any help is appreciated
Well, Diplomacy seems like it would be non-existant for the UNSC/Covenant war anyways. However, given enough time, I plan on having releases for every version of Sins.
technically, there shouldnt be diplomacy between the Vasari/Advent/TEC either. we were told vehemently that the hatred and relentlessness of each of the races was unsurmountable, yet now they're playing nice... however... diplomacy between the UNSC and Covenant is not unheard of...
hey, did you guys boost the difficulty of the AI? i havent played in a while, came back and got hammered by a couple of hard AI... which is unusual... so either i got crappier than i thought, or you guys snuck on in on me =P
and I don't know about you, but I get enough social drama in my real life to not want to tolerate it while I am relaxing with my 33' Acer on Hulu.
FUCKIN' A!!! the sooner the writers guild realise that people dont want to see real life 'heroes' (aka losers) in their entertainment, the better off the industry will be! Keep soap operas for dedicated soap operas, and keep sci-fi for sci-fi unfortunately, however, everything comes down to money, and in the e
i have a serious question... A galaxy is a massive thing, right. and its not arranged in a straight line... My question is: both SG1 and SGA Stargates could dial any gate within their galaxy as standard, it was only for intergalactic travel that more power etc was required. So... whats going on in SGU where SG's have to come into range? Lets say its a power issue... they have 40% of total capacity after the first sun they dipped into, possibly a bit more after the
I've never accidentally scuttled anything before, much less a capital ship or planet. I don't know how you could possibly be so scuttle-happy as to make this mistake.
By the way, stealth units got me thinking about the Jikara and mines. Don't they use the same means to hide themselves? If so, do other scouts now detect Jikaras using Phasic Cloaking? They definitely should.
they do but they dont... like, all vasari structures have a phasic shield which technically works the same as Mine and Jikara stealthing, yet Jikara's and Vasari structures arent invisible to radar, so the only conclusion is that Mines are tiny which makes them dif
Theoretically, the cannon could launch a rail-gun missile NOT going near the speed of light (say, maybe 1/2 to 1/4 c) and then a split second later, the warhead would open an advanced phase space window, slowing it to not use phase lanes and go really fast. Additionally, when the projectile is about to hit its target, it could exit phase space right before impact and explode, not ramming the planet at near light-speed (which would in all likely-hood either destroy it, shift it's orbit,
Quoting TheRezonator, reply 1395 not sure if its been addressed, but do you think you'll add new Grav Well types that reflect stuff from stargate? so like blackholes, different types of nebulas, goauld fortress worlds, ancient relic worlds and human outposts? ETC ETC? yes we will be adding in new gravity wells, I have a couple posted up on our Invision free boards.
<
i just thought of something, i remember Mooster talking about how missiles generally get outrun by ships when the Dynamic Movement mod is switched on... is it possible to increase the speed of the missiles? also, how does it affect gameplay? as in, is DPS still applied if the graphic is messed up? if so, it should just be a simple matter of fiddling with the graphic right?
