Off, they can't.[/quote] i thought that the auto join behaviour was dependant on the ships themselves, not the fleets? so, a new cobalt is built and even if the fleet in that grav well has auto-join turned off, the new cobalt will still join that fleet?

except you have them rally at point X and if there is another fleet in the same grav well they'll go to point X then fly to join the fleet at point Y, at least thats always been my experience...

nice, thanks for the advice... i guess, though, the best way to get what i want is to finally unzip that galaxy forge folder i downloaded and start making me some maps...
it already does ^^that^^ but like i said, planets generate so much 'untouchable' (as in you cant attack any ships to disrupt it) income that blowing up a trade ship or two wont get you much... i mean in a game where we routinely deal with thousands, tens of thousands and hundreds of thousands of credits and resources, whats destroying a trade ship going to do? the only way to make THAT worthwhile is to give you a percentage of his total income like 1-2% or something similar
