After ten years from now, if there is no Stardock nor Impulse auth servers, i will be unable to patch a new installation from 1.05 to 1.16.nn I mean, may be Stardock does not launch more patches after 1.16, may be the game support will end at 1.16, but as paying customer, i'm entitled to patch

i find some times that when i tell ships to jump either normal planet to planet of even from wormhole to wormhole or star to star, they decide instead to try and get there using sublight engines... same thing happens with trade ships... one time i had cornered an enemy empire with my planets on either side of him... and my trade ships would try to get from the planets on each side of his empire through his empire to the other side... it made no sense... and naturally they were all bei

No ofenses, but if i can be named idiot or pirate i can say this much more respectfull. When i buy a game i buy the right yo play it, and i buy the right to play it for ever. If i want replay SOASE after, ten years, or twelve years, or fifty or whatever time, i have the right to do so, if i payed for
Chuck Norris doesnt care about DRM Chuck Norris doesnt explore for Artefacts, the come out to greet him with a smile and a box of cookies Chuck Norris won the Resource Achievements by having other empires give HIM the resources All profits from black market purchases go to an Appease Chuck Norris fund Chuck Norris already has all 3 expansions. Strikecraft had a TON of counters, because they were fast, could do some damage, and most importantly: cheap.
really? cool! ive been thinking to myself lately why all ships dont have 2 or more banks of weapons to fire at more targets at once... even if all ships just had basic flak weapons... it&nb
its not only retreating but in general, when i was playing the entrenchment beta, i would try and get my Ogrov's to jump in at the same time the fleet did... the Ogrov fleet rocked up like 1 minute or more after the main battle fleet jumped in because the ogrovs turn so damn slow that any attempt at making a formation is like watching grass grow, or, worse, a game of cricket! even when placed within a fleet, anti-structure frigates would hold up the rest of the fleet by many many seco
a 'corvette' or flak cruiser would be very good i think, but then i just have a weak spot for new ships. lots of people will whine about it, but i think its a good idea. lets say for TEC while the frigate has AutoCannons the Cruiser has banks of missiles plus an ability, or two sets of weapons, Autos and Missiles etc without an ability, for example i think caps definitly need to have a serious flak upgrade in addition to the ability... maybe some sort of rapid fire weapons (i.
first off, i really do not think there is anything with the idea of DRM, that is, if someone wants to ensure their property isnt being stolen from them, good for them, i totally agree all these people who hate DRM, pick any profession you like, even your own, and tell me if you would like your income stolen from you because someone didnt want to pay for u to change their tire, or didnt want to pay for you to write that legal document for them, or didnt want to pay for the life saving
roflmao AWESOME!! Chuck Norris is the reason why you can't find the Space Ponies.... The captain of a Hosiko Robotics Cruiser once claimed he had built a robot that could withstand a Norris round-house kick.... That robot became the very first Novalith cannon strike... Chuck Norris then kicked the Hoshiko captain... now we know why they sound like they do...
Quoting Cykur, reply 12 As to counter that. Late game for TEC the Kodiak has a 'rush the target' ability. Use this to get in range of the carriers, then a few Kodiaks will tear them apart, unless their cap carriers, of course. In theory I love rush to target, but in practice it annoys me to no end, because if I have a lot of Kodiaks selected, I have to tab through them and trigger the ability for each one.&n
i understood that when you press the retreat button your ships will ignore the move as a group command no matter what? if you were simply telling them to move as normal, then yes, that would happen (moving stupidly) but pressing the button? maybe there is a problem here in the meantime, i usually tell my caps to retreat and leave my frigates and cruisers to stall enemy ships... at the very least autocast abilities are soaked up and its easier to destroy a few ships while your
They wouldn't need the labs for that because in original SoaSE, neutral colonies had a couple of hanger defenses anyway so why would they need research labs for mines and mini starbases w/ aux government?
since when? not when i played?!?!?
there are some problems with the explanations for how capturing planets via bombardment and culture etc works. so this is how i understand it. First off, all planets barring dead asteroids have native populations, reason for why all planets have militias. but i believe only 'Valued Citizens' and colonists are considered citizens and are therefore the only ones taxed etc. when you colonise a planet. the planet upgrades build more cities for these valued
um... do you have the right forum? is SWR a mod or something? cause im sorry, not trying to be rude but i have no idea what you are talking about...
i personally dont use it that much, i dont have to, and the jumping around and jerking away from my mouse click is preventing me from attempting to start to use it. i would definitly like a fix, or a option to remove it, or not, like i said, i hardly use it, just to keep track of my fleets, make sure they are fully reinforced etc, keep track of my factory planet (i.e. where i build all my ships), and maybe any chokepoint planets or artifact planets, otherwise, i really think the empir
i noticed this too, and its also very rare (at least in my experience) to see them build the more advanced defenses, like planetary shields, phase stabilisers/nano-weapon jammers or anti-matter restorers... let alone superweapons. also, in my experience, whatever defenses ARE built, are built in useless locations, or in so few numbers that they're effectively useless.... the only time i do see good AI turret defenses is on pirate bases... but those are probably pre-programmed, and eve
just thinking about it... most sci-fi things have been done already, and the worse the idea the more times it has been done, its only the relly good ones that arent done again because the bar is already so high. anyway, ideas... i didnt read all the posts because i dont have time, but has anyone thought of something mechanical? Replicators from Stargate for instance? another point, alot of people have been posting random ideas, but only a few (i.e. the guy with the ene
wow, very nice, great creativity i would personally love this idea, though i havent heard anything in support or denial of such an expansion (no surprised however, they are most likely still working on the current expansion (Entrancement) great creativity, the "Weapons that once existed only in nightmares..." gave me a shiver... ooo, cant wait =P
just played a game, had a look at my kodiaks, but also at all my ships... no weird colour blotches... i mean, there are some artistic bits where the paint has faded or scratched off, but nothing like what was in that picture... really have no idea whats wrong... is it possible one of your mods altered a game file that you dont know about?
i think setting tax rates is a bad idea... they already sort of address it, you upgrade the planet, build cities etc, and support more people to tax. as it is now, under-developed planets run at a loss (thats Sins 101) so having an even lower tax rate could actually cripple your entire economy there are a few other things as well, but basically, i think the whole thing is far too complex, sorry, but this isnt quite Sim City great ideas though, but personally i wouldnt
you complain alot dont you? its been there for ages, why has no one but you complained? dont know if you know, but TEC lrf has a cluster warheads ability to give it AoE effect, so that, plus Marza missile barrage (which, btw, is a lvl 6 ability, meaning is is supposed to be 'the shit') would absolutely kick most ass. i dont know what else was in the system, but other ships could have made a difference as well. but seriously... alot of your posts tell stories of you getting you
i think the OP was saying something about lowering taxes increases resource income? first off do you alter taxes on all your worlds at once? or is it planet by planet... because depending on the level of planet development (i.e. the first button in the planet upgrades screen), lowering taxes globally may actually be a problem, could cause some massive debts and you can experience your globla finnancial crisis in Sins as well as in the real world. second, im not sure if, realistic
By the USN's definition a cruiser is a capital ship. Their current model has a crew less than 375. The old WWII huge battleships had crews about 800. The space shuttle, which doesn't even have any missiles strapped to the sides takes 7. I'm beginning to think any efforts here for a direct, or even classwise, comparison are pretty moot. well i can tell you i dont have any problems like that... i use blue as my colour scheme, so its possible there is a tiny bug in the red colour scheme application subroutines (i always wanted to use that word) i can see, on the top of the top cannon, there are small lines, like the paint dripped, and on the rear side (the side you can see) there is a large blot that looks a little weird. as someone said, if cant be totally sharp, just too much going on, but i do see where
