Stardock/GPG did not reply on any of these threads to recognize the existance of the game breaking bugs related to favor items. The issue was announced as fixed, but it clearly isn't.
This isn't a "pissing fight", you're both ignorant. It's also amusing how you haven't even touched on the issue of actual cheating in your rules. Enjoy the power trip.
I have plenty of team fights on Cataract and other when playing non-newbie teams, often over key flag captures when both teams port in to support. Prison just leaves no alternative except direct confrontation - it's tactically shallow. Crucible has imbalances for certain demigods, but it's decent for a 2v2 map - because the format is limited anyway, and it promotes pushing out. It's going to get better when warp stone is buffed enough to cover the gap (which it needs anyway).<
"Korea" just suffers from a cheater mentality - he can't get over the opportunity of having an advantage over others. http://forums.demigodthegame.com/352840 http://forums.demigodthegame.com/352802 http://forums.demigodthegame.com/352173 http://forums.demigodthegame.com/352547 http://forums.demigodthegame.com/352155 http://forums.demigodthegame.com/352329 <- a person lost all his favor points, KOREA comes into the thread to riducule him
I'm pretty sure that they fixed the favor problem. The 15+ people that I know who've got the game all have working favor points and prior to the fix almost all of them were bugged with either 0 or unlimited including myself who had 0.
I'm pretty sure that you have no idea of the extent of the problem and are just trying to gain a competitive advantage. I want to see mention of this bug in the official journals.
Favor items seem to be bugged in that I always have a ton of favor points, so I have access to essentially all the favor items. What exactly is the case for you if you start a match with favor items? Can other people chime in on this?
It's different for every person. One of my friends has the same manifestation as you - access to almost everything, and enough static favor to buy things, but no increase in favor. F
Favor items are still bugged for many people who are unable to use them. They should be turned off - please list it in your rules. 3v3: Team name: Hurra Torpedo Rinoftw Warskullx TenetGW
I hope the actually recognize that and put it back on the priority list. Damnit. Nothing pisses me off more then not even seeing it on the posted buglists.
Quoting TenetGW, reply 17The game does need a core group of people who understand the game to collaborate with Stardock/GPG in improving it, there has to be an effort to attract such people. One way would be to actually have a free "core-beta" going with applications filtering people with previous alpha testing/balancing and tournament play experience. Then get those people on a private forum posting feedback and balancing proposals. I
Every time I read the forums I'm reminded why there's no competition in demigod. You buy the items that fit your build, pick the favor item that fits your build, choose a hero that fits your team and choose citadel upgrades that fit the moment. These choices are what highlights the massively bad people in the game. No matter what there is going to be an optimal route for the hero, map, team situation i'm playing and that's what I'm g
Prison is horrible because there is only one viable tactic on it - walk together and destroy the enemy in full-team-vs-team fights. From level 1. There is nowhere to run and it's possible to easily lure the creep waves to one point, while keeping all the flags and locking out the weaker team in their base. Since it's basically just a one lane map, split tactics are ineffective. The bigger maps are typically too big for 3v3, and also suffer from the same problems if you play 4v4 or 5v5
I have this problem too. I had a favor item and several matches worth of favor saved. After one of the patches, that got reduced to 160 favor (!?!) and is now stuck at that number. I'm also unable to use that item in any match - it's like I didn't get it at all. Can't earn favor even though all I play is multiplayer and we win most matches. :/ All of my friends have similar problems, though some are more lucky and got stuck at higher favor levels or with items unlocked

I disagree with _Mercury_'s specific examples (and his opinions on what is "useful") but I agree that the game is too shallow to interest me at release. 1. The Maps are horribly simplistic. "Prison" and the "2v2" map should just be deleted and replaced by more of the multi-path maps. 2. The Balancing and Veriety is low - few abilities actually require "skill" to be used right, and many are designed to be chained or are very "passive" in their nature. The game ne
Make them not stack like was suggested on another thread, or cap the stack at a certain maximum %
I agree with Ke5strel's anaylsis and suggestion. Trigeminal - you would benefit from posting actual counter arguments. There's no respect in your anecdotal evidence.
Good suggestion. Reading your analysis, my concerns for the game's tactical depth have been amplified. I think that not only are alternatives to stunlocking required, but also other teamwork-interaction systems. - Interrupts and Channeling (could be a good mechanic for potion use and powerful spells) - Map Complexity (I have a thread up about it). - Conditional Skills (trigger relative to factors like enemy remaining vs max health, mana or other tactica
Good suggestion, and I like the description of the graphics. Symbolic statues fit the theme.
I don't agree with the Greek culture angle, it's not necessary and counter productive. I do agree with renaming the Assassin into something else. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hashshashin It's an interesting history lesson, but entirely unfitting of a word.
I agree their should be elevations and buildings or something but dodn't think that geographical changes should do alot or anything at all. I'm more in favor for tiny changes like going alittle faster when downhill and alittle slower up hill.
So you're fine with keeping the game very simplistic on the tactical level? Plain tug of war maps with little to no variation in moves?

Screw tactics, this game needs FAIRNESS! I propose we limit all combat to Demigod vs Demigod! I propose that we line up Demigods and have them engage in glorious 1v1 DUELS to deteremine which Demigod has the bigger pair. We can then declare the victory and move on to the next match. Wouldn't that be exciting?! /sarcasm Demigod as it is right now is shallower then DotA. You need to focus on proposing NEW mechanics, like actual use of LINE
In DotA there was a rule called backdooring. It basically means that you may not attack buildings before your creeps get there. That is simply to make the control of waves more important. And IMO it would be very positive if GPG simply put that into the game. It could very easily be done by simply making buildings invulnerable if the attacking creeps is not withing a certain distance of them.
Please do not spread false information. The rule y
