What is with people's systems.... I rarely have to even turn my graphics down, and I run the game fine....mine you if you don''t use the dynamic movement it can trim down even more on the cpu and the ram usage, since the computer don't have to generate new movement paths
Nuttygamer
Yay good thing too, new laptops this year will have it although I question the need for the new 2010 version when they have launched a web version, and since 2007 is pretty good I don't know why they are even bother.
(It sucks, btw, XP is still the best, by far..)
Yay another XP supporter! However, the price of progress is Microsoft creating more and more "user friendly interface", sad day for people who know how to use their computer, sad days for me seeing Microsoft soft "dumbing it down" operating systems
Quoting myfist0, reply 5I like to see if your losing, all ships start ramming Also possible...
Lol I actually built my own self-destruct onto the defiant class cap ships in the SoA mod
well just save the game ,exit it and reenter the game to refresh such 'crappy performance'
doesn't always work, especially with mods, it has to with the number of ships and planets you have even then after some time it will slow right back dowwn to where you started with
lol, shame, most people who don't already know about Impulse won't be able to advantage of the deal, only if people actually saw the deals in-store, then more people will so get hooked onto this game
if you are bored with 5v5 try 1v5 or even 1v10, that would bring you even more challenge. I know that might seems excessive but seriouly I play using the Star Trek Mod me as federation, vs 9 Dominion and the number of battles won't end. and believe me you will lose fleets or even crank the game up to unfair aggressive there a instant challenge
This posts reminds me of a guy who played online under the name Quiche Poirot. In a competitive 4v4 (or was it a 5v5? I forget) he built nothing but Cobalts! His teammates were pleading with him to build research LRMs and spam those out instead but he just kept pumping out Cobalts. Somehow we won that game in spite of him. I think it's because the opposing player that was next to him was occupied with a very good
LOl I usually send 3 fleets, even 2 gets destroyed, and one severally crippled, I mean these fleets are like 100 ships each and 5 caps each
The ranks goes from 0-3 or 4 ranks
Even if you modify the movement speeds of all ships you have to deal with the bounding box in which the Sins Engine uses as collision detection, so the only way to modify this is to edit the mesh models, and modify its bounding box either closer to the model, or move them farther away
at least myfist0 it isn't this speaking o
WHAT?!!! WHY NO JUSTIN BIEBER??!!!
Please what guy can honestly say they listen to him.....lol To be honest, I listen to the glee mixes more than other songs I got on my iPod (lol I got like 800 songs too, and glee only makes up only 12 songs) but I also listen to Bon Jovi (Livin' on a Prayer mostly, wooooooooooooah, but lost highway and it's my life [lol more like the the glee's version of its my life / usher's confession part ii] isn't bad)
ya, sometimes when it goes boom, I just keep pressing refresh, and hope for a double (perhaps a triple post) but now that you can edit and say double post (even triple post and everyone will see it...), at least I won't lose my train of though when I first originally posted the comment lol kinda ironic when I first tried to post this comment, the fourms when boom on me
how to increase the weapon power?
you mean the amount of hits? if you are talking about amount of hits it is there, it is just divided by 4 or the number of weapon spots it has.
Let me see....Sins of a solar empire, Runescape (I know very kiddy game but hey once you spend more than half a year in playtime, you just can't stop), Team Fortress 2, and audiosurf, it was fun, not to mention I had a long weekend....
lol what if you build a movable starbase (cough varsi) will it get sucked in? what about the stationary ones?
asteroidSpawnAngleVariance 3.141593
To be honest, after much experimenting (we are talking about hours), I still have no clue what this does.
Lol harcan, you sound like people when Half Life 2 came out requiring steam to play. Even then steam is great, greater number of games, and community
Running the game on 8x causes me alot of problems. I minidump more often doing that than I ever had with anything else. Even more so if you got large fleets/large trade routes ingame.
How big, hell right now even at 1x my game still lags, but then again we are talking about 50k supply per player on a 150 planet map, lol
Increasing game-speed tends to bring with it a decreased framerate.
Well that seems obivous, computers are machines that calucate numbers, and then generate a result. you run the game 8x number are suppose to be generated a 8x the speed so require to calucate 8x per second * your standard frame rate say 60 * the number of mesh points * the number of meshes * AI * number of players * number of meshes per player (of course meshes include the mesh, texturing, and the bump
Instead of blaming Ryat, I blame all of you for continuing this thread
https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/363233 this is the forum thread for the limits of Sins there is no line for Research Limits (we've had it up to 10 in the Distant Stars mod at times and it worked fine) think Myles is getting abilities mixed up with research
Don't I miss those days of 10 lvl of research :(
Lol good point stress, perhaps we should start a thread just for it lol
